Ok, I got to play with the 6225 at work when our Nokia rep gave a presentation to us. And then I nit-picked with it for like 5 minutes afterwards so here we go:
Screen: the size is 128x128, resolution is like any other Nokia, not a lot of color depth which kinda disappointed me because it's a camera phone. When you look at the screen carefully (espically if the faceplates are off) you notice lines going through the screen vertically, the phone I looked at was probably a pre-production phone because it didnt even have the sprint logo on the case.
Form-factor: it's smaller than the 3588 and a little thinner, easy to hold in your hands and the overall design reminds me of that puny phone that they released for AT&T about 2 years ago.
Camera: Up to par with the 8100, delay (when I say "delay" I mean the time the image needs to catch up with the movement of the lens) is a little worse than the 8100 but that could also attribute to the fact that the phone was probably a pre-production one.
Interface: If I've said it before, I'll say it again: "If you've used one Nokia, you've used them all." The Interface is exactly like the 3588 except they've updated the look of the graphics and the default color scheme is now the red one.
Connectivity: The phone wasnt activated so I couldnt play with vision but here are the specs from the brochure I got:
-Mobile Internet browser - WAP
-High-speed data transmission (up to 153 kbps)
-Send and receive data via infared (yes this will be enabled according to the rep)
-Synchronizing your phone book and calendar is easy with built in IR and Nokia 6225 PC suite which is available free at www.nokia.com/us (requires computer with IR compatibility or DKU-5 data cable)
Voice: sound quality out of the earpiece was great like I've expected from Nokias. Cool feature was that this phone has speakerphone (I didnt know about it until then) and it dosent sound distorted like on the N400 and sometimes on the VM4500.
Cool Features: like I said before the speakerphone feature was cool, however there is not "soft-key" to turn on the speakerphone, you have to access the menu while in the call to turn it on. Now, the one thing that really makes this phone stand out is the FM radio. That's the good, now the bad: you have (emphasis on HAVE) to have the FM earpiece like the V series for Motorola. But, if you get the earpiece, you can put the radio over speakerphone! And the coolest accessorie that I saw when the rep demostrated the radio was the desktop charger/speakers. When you plug the phone into the charging cradle, you can access the radio and it comes out in stero sound (and not too bad sounding either), the cradle charges the phone and when a call comes through, the radio is muted and the cradle doubles as a speakerphone. Then, when the call is completed, the radio cuts back on. The phone is picture caller ID compatible, comes in a maroon/merlot wine color.
