For what it's worth, I got one on Tuesday. The gal behind the desk indicated that it had come in either early this week or late last week.

Hey....how much are the RL7300s running for? And where is the best place to buy them besides, Sprint stores? I really like that phone...I think I am going to drop my Samsung A500 for it. Any suggestions or comments are welcomed.

If I remember correctly, the list price at my Sprint store was $279.99, but with the "loyalty discount" or whatever, I got a mail-in rebate that cuts the price by either $120 or $150.
It's not my old SCP-4500, but it'll do. Still haven't gotten used to opening a phone as opposed to merely yanking the thing from a pocket ready to go. The only phone I really considered besides it was the SCP-7200. Sooner or later, I'll write a review.

Has anyone found out when this will be available @ stores other than Sprint Stores? Stores like Radio Shack will offer an extended warranty ($50-$60) at the time of purchase (and add in their own discounts on the phone), which includes up to 3 battery replacements vs. paying $4/month through sprint and there's no deductible when purchasing the warranties at other stores.
Don't do the Radio Shack warranty for the battery replacements. I did it with my SCP-4500, and the batteries they gave me were awful. They had a much lower life than the original battery, and died a lot quicker. I had a friend who bought the same phone at the same time, and his battery is still better 3 years later than the one I got 6 months ago from Radio Shack. Also, the Radio Shack warranty doesn't cover theft or loss, whereas the Sprint one does.

I was told at the store there was a $150 rebate. Then got a nasty little postcard saying it wasn't part of the promotion. After much compaining I got $130. Not the $150, but it was either that or nothing. Be sure to get it in writing as they say.
Great phone though! Superior battery life and a heck of a speackerphone. Dropped it several times already too, and hardly even a scratch!

Hey fools, just so you know. The rebate (130-170 Dollars) is only available if you are a NEW customer. That means no previous accounts unless you're adding a new line, which is considered a NEW account.
However, the rebate is available (mail in, not instant) if you have had your current handset (not just your account) for longer than 18 months. It's like an "upgrade rebate."
I can't wait for it to come to my store. Thanks for the postings.

I got one a few weeks ago and it's pretty cool. The microphone on the speakerphone isn't too strong though. I did have to pay full price for it cause I didn't have my previous phone for 18 months.
Does anyone know where I can get the sanyo usb drivers? They're not on the sanyo site and the snapmedia site doesn't have them either.
i have been with sprint for 4-5 years, never had a claim and have paid the insurance sense day one, had a 4000 and a spare .. well about 2 weeks ago i lost mine main 4000, went to my ragged out 4000 back up and waited a week to see if any one would come forward for finding it. nada, so i put in my clain and was expecting a 4000 or a 4500 and i got a 7300 for a replacement. i guess it pays off to pay for the insurance.
over all its got a load of more stuff than the 4000 i have does, and it's a PITA getting use to it, but it's got a nice feel to it. not a fan of the flip phones and it dosn't hold/store my e mail info like the 4000 did, but it's a nice replacement.

Hey...actually, the rebate is good for current customers as long as you've had your current phone activated on your account for 18+ months. Also, you would need to renew your contract for 1 or 2 years depending on the size of the rebate you want....but that's the same as if you were a new customer.

If anyone finds out what software support syncing with MS Outlook or other MS programs - please post it here. Checked on the FutureDial site but the 7300 is not listed as being supported in SnapSync.
I run into this problem with every phone I buy (got two - yesterday), maybe I should buy the software first and then find a phone that will work with it

What is snapsync?
SnapSync allows you to sync contacts into your handset's phonebook - http://shop.futuredial.com/

I had the RL-7200 since May of last year and the first one crapped out on me... so they gave me a reconditioned piece of crap 7200... which again crapped out on me.
I reported Sprint and their conduct to the BBB and the Texas State Attorney General's Office (I live in San Antonio) and just last Thursday Sprint was calling me to tell me that they are sending me a brand new Sanyo RL-7300.
From all the reviews I have read online it seems as if this is the phone that people on the go want to get... I really can not dawg too much on Sprint becuz even before going to the BBB and SAG offices with my complaint there were people in their company that honestly tried to resolve my issues.
BUT, it was not until I started playing hardball that they actually moved to do something.
My phone should be delivered today so I will bokmark this forum and come back with my own personal review on it.

OK, so I got my phone... not bad... Sprint really stepped up.
Not only did they give me the brand new RL7300 but on top of a $200 credit on my account that they gave me at the beginning of my problems with their company they threw on another $50 credit which means I don't have to pay my Sprint bill for the next 3 months.
The phone works great... I am very pleased with this one.
The quality of the phone is what i was most concerned with and it has passed every test I have thrown at it... I even dropped it once (not on purpose) and it survived the impact... everyone that I have talked to using it has commented on the clarity of the calls... the signal strength has not failed, no dropped calls, all my calls are coming through, the stock ringers are far better than on most phones I looked at.
I am off to buy a data cable so that I can connect it to my computer... have some pictures I want to upload.

I love my phone, I just regret paying that price and not getting a camera, well beside the extra features on the 7400 I think the 7300 is better!

I am glad to NOT have a camera in my phone now. The quality of them all are letdowns. Japan has 3 megapixel cell cameras, but not us! I work in a building that does not allow cell phone cameras. I for one am GLAD ths is available!
