I don't know if it is true or not, but I read here somewhere, (couldn't find the thread) that ASL's may qualify for the $0 deposit.
When I worked for SPCS, there was such a thing, is it coming back?
AND, is the $10 sub program back or is it still $20?

ASL's and deposits are two different things. You can have an ASL without a deposit. I've had customers get approved for 3 lines with a $600 ASL.

Some customers are being approved for
o deposit 1 line 125 asl
0 deposit 2 lines 200 asl
just started within the past 30 days or so,
then there is still the standard 125 or 250 deposits for 1 line,
have even seen a 600 deposit, but only twice

What would my credit class be?
I am only allowed 3 lines, but after asking 2 different reps they
both said I did not have a ASL.
My bill has been showing over $700 for the last few days due to a Sprint error.. and I have not been shut off.
Peace

Sounds like BA or B2, it depends on how long you have had the account. If you have had the account for sometime, it is probably a B2, which means your limit has been upgraded to 6 lines.

i was actually lucky enough to be approved for three lines, i am only 19. about a little more than a year ago, i when i was 17, i remember that i was not able to have an account under my own name and needed to join my uncle's t-mobile family plan. For more than 15 months, 5 people had to share 800 AT mins, I only got about less than 150 for myself. Now that contract was a 1 year contract and i now have been approved by sprint for 3 lines, i was actually ready to put in a 125-250 deposit at time of purchase and to my surprise, and the surprise of the girl at best buy, ringing me up, i got approved for 3 lines. She told me that most people my age usually end up paying the deposit or getting VirginMobile. So I only added myself on the account that day, then later on I forgot how many lines I was approved for and thought it was 4, so I go into the sprint store to now put my sister, mom, and dad on my account. I was told that my limit was only 3 lines, so i wasn't able to add the 4th line, I did put 2 more. I go back to the sprint store a few days later if i could maybe pay a deposit to get a 4th line added on, i was told no. I asked a few days later, and the guy there said that if i was to buy a silver 5500, he will do me a favor and make it so i could get it added, i bought the phone, and he did something on the computer and made it so that i got approved for an additional line. The next day, I called cs and asked them if i was able to add a 5th line to my account, they said that i was only allowed 3 and asked me how i was able to get 4 lines to my account. He then proceeded to tell me that whoever did that, they were not supposed to bc it is against company policy. I said oh and he sounded pissed at me that i was able to get this done, he then asked me if i remembered the name of the guy who added my 4th line, even though i knew i didn't tell him. I wouldn't want that guy getting in any trouble bc of me. I didnt' tell him the name.
I went back to the sprint store and asked if i could get a 5th line added and i told them that even though I am only approved for 3 lines, it should be a problem getting a 5th added on, since i was able to the 4th added on. This person also got pissed at me and asked me who added my 4th line, so he could fire that person, i did not want to give away that info. I didnt' tell him the name.
I kept going back to the store to find the person who added my 4th line, to see if he would be able to help me get another added. I asked a girl at the sprint store when he works, and she told me that he got fired a few days ago and I felt bad for him, maybe he only added my line bc he did not want the job anymore. I also felt bad bc now I will have to wait a few months to get another line added.
Sorry if this was long, thought it interesting.

Not sure why they asked you who did it, those records are in your account notes, and people can be looked up by their log in id.

i think they asked bc they did not want to add the line to my account. Also because they were stuckup, and were pissed that I was able to get a credit class change..
Other cs employees have told me that it is just not possible to do it, but I guess it was done.
Still not sure what that guy did on my account. It still says I am approved for only 3 lines, but i clearly have 4. cs has also told me that you cant get approved for 4 lines,..only 1, 2, 3, or 5 lines,
they did tell me that in a few months that my 3 would double to 6. and people who orinally get approved for 5, it doubles to 10 for them.

What is ASL??

What is ASL??
ASL means Account Spending Limit, basically kinda like a credit card. Credit cards have credit limit, but in sprints case, you have a credit limit with sprint. Once your currant account balance reaches a certain limit, the ASL limit, for example the ASL limit of $125, then sprint will temporarily suspend your phone service, or if you have more than one line of service on the same account, susspend all of the phones phone service until the balance is either paid in full, the past due amount is paid, or the balance itself is paid down below the ASL amount. There are exceptions to this rule sometimes. I remember about 3-yrs ago when I had the $600 ASL and I had purchased a new phone and it was charged to my account. My balance at the time was about $75. and the purchase of the phone that was charged to my account brought my account balance past the $600 limit. After I got off the phone with the Rep I tried to call a friend, and I couldn't because my account was suspended because of the balance was now above $600. I was very Pissed. I called backl anbd they ended up Crediting me for both phones that I had purchased so my balance could be brought back down and I could get service restored. They have changed to rules a little on this. I think that ASL accounts now can no longer purchased equipment on account. I know that its for the account with the $200 and below ASL accounts. But as I said there are exceptoins to these rules and they have changed a lot as well.

I have a $600.00 ASL and I quailify for 10 phones. 5 phones under one plan and 5 phones under another plan. The first 5 phones are under the $100.00 plan for 2000 minutes and the second plan is the fair and flexiable plan. This is working out great for me.

Both of my parents had $0 deposit/$125 ASL 2 years ago.
Just curious, if someone is approved for 5 lines/no deposit/no ASL, can Sprint downgrade them based on their payment history?

I had one as well. Actually, Sprint starts out new customers that have good credit on a $0 deposit with a $600ASL. Then after 6-months it gets eliminated. For anyone who had this longer than 6-months I think they changed the length of time for it to one yr a while back. Not sure anymore though, as I have "graduated" from this ASL. Now it's no limit. and I went from 5-lines to 10-lines which I think was changed for all customers who qualified for up to 5-lines all across the board, systemwide. Business Customer however, can have all 10-lines on the same plan. Regular Consumer Accounts can only have up to I think the limit is 5 lines per plan but a total of 10-phones per account. I have 7-lines on one plan. I have the 2500 minutes for $115 plan. It works out.

Here is basically what you are looking at as far as line ...
1st Line $125 Deposit $125 ASL 2nd Line $125 Depsoit $250 ASL
1st Line $0 Deposit $125 ASL 2nd Line $125 Depsoit $250 ASL
1st Line $0 Deposit $125 ASL 2nd Line $0 Deposit $200 ASL
1st Line $0 Depsoit $200 ASL 2nd Line $0 Deposit $200 ASL 3rd Line $125 Deposit $325 ASL
1-3 Lines $0 Deposit $600 ASL (Upgraded to 6 Lines $0 ASL after 6 months of consecutive good payment history)
1-5 Lines $0 Deposit $1000 ASL (Upgraded to 10 Lines $0 ASL after 6 months of consecutive good payment history)
To the person who received 4 lines when you were only approved for 3 ... well it's against policy ... generally when you do things against policy at a job ... you no longer work there ... they shouldn't need to ask for the name of the person who did the activate it would take 10 seconds to figure out who did it ... your credit class wasn't changed ... they just forced the system to do something that shouldn't of been done ...

how can someone find out their credit rating with Sprint. I know I've been with them since Dec 99. I have no spending limit on my account that I am aware of. I think I had one for like the first 3 months on my account and that was it. My account has had only one line and the same phone # throughout.

They will not tell you the credit rating ... but just call *2 and they will let you know how many lines you are approved for and any deposits or ASL that your credit class would fall under

Well I do know I don't have any deposit requirements as I have never given one to sprint in the 5 years I have been with them. I'm not planning to add more lines soon, was just curious about the rating, but rather not ask how many lines I am approved for. Last time I called *2 was this week asking for the PRL update and the lady was nice, but she repeated to me at the end everything that went on during the phone call as me asking in addition what was the date I qualified for the $150 rebate and also about if she had any information on bluetooth phones because that is one of my main things I want in a new phone I get. It really sounded like she was now noting every single question I had asked on my account and then added her response to the question. I admit its nice being detailed, just threw me off guard and stuff.

To answer the question about the $10 add a phone. AFAIK that is only with the Fair and Flexible $70 plan. The second line is free and lines 3-5 are $10/each
