Have you seen the new SprintPCS Website (http://www.sprintpcs.com)? It includes simplified navigation, improved accessibility, and boasts quicker page load times. They also launched a new section titled Why Sprint (http://www.whysprint.com), detailing information about their network, services, and number portability.

They can boast all they want, but for me the new web site is horribly slow. I entered my phone # & password, then waited two & a half minutes for the web page to download. Considering that the only improvements to the site are cosmetic, I'd rather have the old one back.

It was rather fast for me, loaded up much faster than the old one.

What browser are you using and what is your connection speed?

Improved accessibility? What improved accessibility? They still haven't fixed the problem of font sizes being fixed and not honoring the browsers Text Size->Small, Medium, Large etc setting. Why do the smarty pants web developers at Sprint have to do this? They should all be made to read item no 4 in this list below -
http://www.useit.com/alertbox/20021223.html
And then they should be made to read it again and again till they get it. Not all people like miniscule hard to read fonts esp. old people which falls in the accessibility area. For heaven's sake do not use absolute font sizes in your style sheets. Code font sizes in relative terms, typically using percentages such as 120% for big text and 90% for small text.

What browsers are being used for those of you that are seeing increased download times?

I'm using Safari 1.1 under Mac OS X 10.3. (My net connection is a cable modem; last time I checked the download speed it was about 1.3 Mbps.)

It loads quite a bit faster with Mozilla 1.4 or IE 5.2.

That is what I suspected... there is a strange issue with the CSS in Safari only. It is not wanting to download and that is what is causing both the appearance of the extended download time (page is downloading fine, but browser is hanging on the css file) and the rendering issues (no css file = looks bad). The issue is being worked on.

Slow ain't the word for it. I ended up here after attempting to find an email address on the website to complain (if it's there, it's hidden well). I had no luck with that so I ended up here thanks to a google search. It's so slow that I've been unable to manage my accounts for two days! Everything just keeps timing out. I've tried both Firefox and Explorer. The worst part about it is that it was dog slow five years ago. I'd have thought they'd have caught up by now.
