There is a new website in town dedicated to Wireless Local Number Portability (WLNP.) KeepYourPhoneNumber.com (http://www.keepyourphonenumber.com) offers recycling information for your old handsets and a short FAQ on WLNP. Come November 24th, WLNP will go into effect in the top 100 metropolitan statistical areas. Those in other areas of the country must wait until May 24, 2004 to port their number elsewhere. When are you eligible? Check your zip code there and find out now.
