I've seen several threads on this topic without listing details for this promotion. This is what I found out from sprint...

The 7pm nights and weekends promotion requires a new 2-year contract and charges $5 per month extra.

That's for the national plans.

Also it would depend on your market. Most are $5 for the 7pm start time, while there are some that are $10 and $15 extra. Check with Sprint for the rate in your area.

i was also told by a rep that the above plan you can only call in your state. if you leave the state you rack up roaming. i have a $50 plan 7pm that's only 700 minutes and called to complain about it.

It depends on your area on the coverage area. The really old $16.99 / 100 minutes plan covered the areas sprint owned in Iowa and Nebraska. I suspect it should be the same now except for the Quad City area(didn't have coverage yet).

also.don't forget about the 2 year agreement. This means that on a family/shared plan, that the primary, and all additional lines that share the minutes are on a 2 year agreement.

Your $50 plan with 700 minutes is a nation wide plan - you will not be charged roaming if you are anywhere in the nation on the network. The area wide plan does charge you roaming if you leave your extended coverage area, which is usually more than one state. For example, Kansas City's includes the entire states of Kansas and Missouri.
The area wide plan mentioned above is advertised with the $5 for 7pm nights already included in the price. The actual price is $45 (plan) + $5 (7pm NW). After the first three months when the add-a-phone is no longer free, you'll be charged $70 for both lines. And yes, you share the 1000 minutes between the phones.
