The effects of a coronal mass ejection (magnetic storm) early Wednesday morning in outer space is expected to reach Earth this afternoon. CNN reports (http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/space/10/23/solar.forecast/index.html) that wireless subscribers may experience interruption in pager and mobile phone service for a period of 12-18 hours.
