Well this is good news - but when? ANd what's the source that it will definitely be released?
Don't mean to be a downer - I've just been waiting so long that I can't believe it might finally be available!!!! :-)

I thought that Ericsson was not going to produce CDMA type phones in North America.

SonyEricsson has announced the product will be a Sprint-exclusive device, and they are considering it's release imminent since they have it up in the Product's section of their web site.

The T608 was a finished product and was supposed to release the day that the Press Release about SE getting out of the CDMA market was made.

In other words, the T608 will be SonyEricsson's last CDMA phone.

Analysis: SE's run by a bunch of EU morons that will sooner or later return to the CDMA market much like Nokia did.

Yes, the T608 is coming to Sprint! I emailed Sony-Erricsson a few weeks ago. They couldn't give me release date though. Now lets hope Sprint doesn't back out on the deal.

according to one story, this guy who works at sprint (yeah, I know how it sounds) says there was a large firmware update for the 10,000 units they have...another story referred to the bluetooth training the staff were getting and he thinks it will come out in a few weeks...

i dunno, but this is the most concrete information I have heard about this all year.

it's circuitsavings.com ! T608 information there has proved to be less than reliable. It is assumed by the owner that the T608 will definitely be released.

So, rikemomo, you're saying that there are or were 10,000 of the T608s out there at Sprint stores already? They all had to go back to Sony? Did you actually see any?

He's saying that hatoncat will believe anything that is told to him about the T608.

So all this talk about 10,000 T608s is speculation? If there were all the phones for Sprint this fact would insure that the T608s are on their way to Sprint.

That is a lie. I have stated my opinion on the release, and that does not mean that I am sure of it.

User combat notwithstanding, heh, this phone needs to come out soon. My P8767's antenna just snapped off, and I promised myself I'm not replacing any more of them before I get a new phone :(

So Sprint has until the end of this billing cycle, I guess, which is ironically a month from today.

They should release it as it is. NO WARRANY.

They should indeed release it AS IS, but under SE's warranty :).

Hell, I'd even sign a waiver releasing SprintPCS from all responsibility.

Just curious, but does anyone actually believe it is still coming out? I seriously doubt it.
