Availability in Atlanta

Clearwire already has service available in Atlanta. Does this mean that a 4G Sprint card can connect here now?
If not, anyone know of the date of availability? Thought it was supposed to be May/June

Sprint has now launched 4G in Atlanta and the surrounding areas. You can visit Sprint.com and check your location for "Sprint Devices with 4G" to see if they cover your area.

The Sprint U300 device and the upcoming wimax router that they announced today will be able to connect to the new 4G spectrum in the Atlanta area as well as many other areas that have had 4G turned on.

I do not know if you can take a U300 and apply it to a current data card account and access 4G, but it would be great if someone can find out.

www.sprint.com/coverage says both say Atlanta and Portland have 4G coverage. however my 3g/4g card won't connect to sprint services. grrr

How much is your monthly service?

Did you sign up with a line and receive the U300 (or similar wimax compatible device) or did you upgrade a current data card and line to the U300 with wimax service?

$30 bucks and i upgraded from a older card to the Franklin about 6 months ago when it was at $80. The card is now free go figure.

You will only get a WiMax signal in Metro ATL if you are right downtown or near a Sprint store in my experience- basically, where there would already be some existing WiFi coverage. Coverage is atrocious in ATL. I'll post here on this site if things get better.
