We are out of contract and I am trying to get a better deal than our $70 550 F&C family plan with no add ons other than $5 for 300 texts on one line. When we called account services their best offer was essentially the same as the plans on the website but with a $100 credit. I have been reading the forums but the plans posted are from several months ago. Anyone with a new offer that they want to share? Or, any advice on how to approach getting switched to a better plan?

You should be able to get 700 min family plan for the $69.95 I would try to get Pick 3 on one or all your phones. Also 1st incoming min on all phones. That would help alot on not useing all your min. Good luck
I wonder what family plan deals are out their. My contract is up in 2 months and before I decide to stick with sprint I wanna see what else is out their. Palm pre is a good incentive (gf wants it) but for me I dunno.

lol, evil
I believe the general consensus from those that talk to retentions lately is that there is a push for regular advertised plans with maybe a one time credit or something. Unless you come across someone who is willing to bypass the system and sups approval and activate an expired code

Any word if this is true and if so, what are the major discounts? Equipment or monthly plan discounts?

My contract expires next month and would like to know about this too. All I want is a new phone but have the same plan. I have samsung Upstage and I am beginning to hate it, I would like to upgrade it, what phones can I get as an upgrade through retentions that wont cost more than 100 bucks.

You can get lots of phones for under 100 bucks with an upgrade. Without retentions.

matlock06, check the Tricks and Tips thread. The 1000/$50 might catch your eyes.

I know I should have been specific.. I meant as an upgrade to Upstage like Instinct, HTC Touch etc. I didnt like the Rant so not sure whether I can get the HTC touch, pro or diamond without changing my plans. I believe you cant get the instinct without the Simply everything plan.

Soooooooooper hard to get now (not to discourage, just a heads up)

You didn't have to be specific, like I said you can get tons of phones when you upgrade for less than 100 bucks, in fact, the htc touch was free on best buy and radioshack online up until a few weeks ago. Again, you don't have to go through retentions for this. Use retentions (if you're going to use them, not that i'm encouraging that) for plans and add ons, not for phones, especially if you're eligible for an upgrade already. just my opinion
And you can get every phone but the instinct (for now) without one of the new simply everything data plans. All other phones work with all plans (not getting into the whole vision vs. pv thing)

Original Touch is $19.99 at my local Radio Shack with a 2 year renewal, and does not require a plan change. If you want to use data, you simply need a data plan for a powervision device.

Some of you may remember me mentioning before that a Sprint employee stole my identity. The "fraud department" (which I don't believe really exists at this point since they don't answer their phone, don't call me back, and the 4 fraud forms I've submitted have somehow gotten lost in the shuffle) isn't of much use to me at this point. I'm pretty upset as my wife and I are getting international telemarketing calls, 20 peices of junk mail per day, and they're even calling my work number. Wonder what retentions might do for me. Ideas?

You can try to call into retentions and get pick 3 added to all the lines.

email ecare...i simply asked for free unlimited texting on 4 lines and they gave it to me. I added internet for 1 phone, they called me back 2 weeks later and asked if everything was ok (courtesy call) and if I like the internet. I said yes and how much $$ to add to the rest of our lines? They added internet to all, including the one i was paying for, for free. I told them I would continue to pay on that one but they said it was no problem. So here's our plan:
4 phones
550 minutes after 7:00 (we never go over because the kids text)
unlimited internet
unlimited texting
pick 3 on one phone
$77.xx/month
The only thing I asked to get for free was the texting...no complaints here!

Discount on the $99 SEP are not allowed, and reps will not even try to apply codes to those plans.

what is pick 3?
PICK3 or PICK3 +2 is an add-on, given by Rententions (AS) that is similar to T-Mobile's Fave 5. You can use this option to call the numbers you selected without using your minutes.

I'm pretty sure that as of recently, the unlimited texting thing went out the window...meaning they no longer offer that, but only offer 1000 texts/free? Hopefully I'm wrong because that's what I'm looking for, but based on my post when I asked to see if anyone has been getting unlimited texts recently, that's not what is allowed.

Yeah, it seems unlimited texting for free is gone. 1,000 a month seems to be the limit now.

I would like to add one more line to my Plan : I pay 50 US$ for 2 lines sharing 1000 minutes. I spoke with Cs and they told me that they can't add one more line to this plan. They offer a new line but as single line..... no way...
What you guys suggest???
I have free Sprint Power Pack Vision and I pay 20 US$ montlhy for UL Text for both Lines.

I think I did decent. I did this before I upgraded my phone so I still have $150 towards a new device. Which I'll probably hold off on because I originally had the HTC Touch but the screen broke so I sent it into insurance and they sent me the HTC Diamond which I love. Probably save my credit till the Pro2 comes out or something else later down the line.

The codes for the add a line on the free and clear plans dont seem to work anymore and you have to get a seasoned rep that can get it done. I was told when AS got my F&C 1000 $50 plan that they are the only ones that can add a line to this plan that costs $0.00. Again that is what I was told by AS and a lot of others have tried the free AAP code and have not gotten it to work, but AS did for me.
