I have never done this one any phone -- let alone the Katana, so if someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciated it.

Take it to any sprint store and they'll transfer for free

What I did was purchase the DataPilot software for 30 bucks. I was irritated that I had to do so. With this package though, you can edit and back up your contacts and pull the images (like photos) off the phone. Of course if you have a data card reader, you can do this without any software.

The two things I wanted most, to sync my calendar with Outlook and to save my sms messages, I can not do.
