Problems with the Katana Eclipse X

I got my daugter the Katana Eclipse X for her birthday in December. She is now complaining that the phone spontaneously turns off in the middle of a conversation.

I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this problem or has an idea of how to fix it without having to go to tech services at the Sprint store.

I doubt it. Sounds like it needs to be replaced. My last sanyo did that a lot and I got rid of it.

I am having the same problem with my wife's pink eclipse x - it is also showing an error on the screen that says "An error has occurred, please restart the phone." Any amount of restarts, removing the battery etc. is not fixing it. I also took it to the Sprint store and had them update the firmware. That stopped the error for a few minutes and then it started again after I left the store. This is a very new phone - about 3 months old. I called tech support and they just sent me a replacement (refurbished). When I charged it and turned it on, it also gave the SAME error!! However, after I restarted the phone, the new phone has still not repeated this error. I will now go to the store to get the numbers transferred and hold on to my old phone for a few more days before sending it back to Sprint.

Any additional comments appreciated.
