I've been a sprint customer for over 13 years now and would like to know how much purchasing power I have with retentions when my current contract expires in 2 months. 6 years ago, retentions upgraded my free and clear plan from 450 minutes to this: $40.00, 1000 Anytime Minutes, Unlimited Night & Weekend Minutes Nights starting at 8pm, $5 for digital roaming, unlimited sprint to sprint calling, and 23% corporate discount. After taxes, my monthly bill is just under $40. But, and it's a big but, I have no data usage.
I'd like to add a line and would be buying new PDA/smartphones for each after my contract expires. Mating my phones with a Everything Data plan for families is what I'd like to do. $129 seems a bit steep for 2 lines with unlimited data and 1500 anytime minutes. Would retentions be apt to throw a bone my way if I mention I may go elsewhere? Would my corporate discount still apply to any plan i decide to go with? The iPhone looks so appealing and At&t may be an option. For now, just want to know what Sprint wouild offer me to stay. Thanks

Here is your bone:
Unless you are choosing an Instinct or BB, you dont HAVE to switch to a new plan. You can add $15 data packs per line. Assuming you dont need more minutes or other services that are included in the EP with Data, I'd go this route. If you start talking to someone and they say you HAVE TO HAVE one of the new plans, say no you dont and get a competent rep.
Good luck! :wavey:
