I have been reading this forum for a bit now and found some useful information concerning the Samsung Ace- thank you all for sharing.

I recently upgraded to this phone and like it except for two things: BATTERY LIFE (I upgraded from a Samsung Upstage that had the external case batter- 4 days without charging) and I can't seem to get it to connect to the web while plugged in for charging- either to a pc or the wall.

I ordered the larger battery so hopefully the first issue will be resolved. The second issue defies me. I can't figure out how to get it to stay connected to the web when plugged in. I could have sworn I selected an option to have it stay connected while tethered but that didn't seem to have any effect on it. Any ideas on what I am missing? I looked through search on here and google in general for this issue and can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.

I would like to use the gps while driving and have it plugged in via a car charger but that is not an option.

I didn't think the Ace has a GPS option on it, but if it does could you tell me how to enable it.

As far as you internet goes, it could be that your battery is low and it just needs to charge for a while and then you should be able to connect while its plugged in. I could be wrong but its just a suggestion. I don't seem to have any problems with mine being plugged in because its downloading updates as I type this. Have you tried consulting with tech support, they might be able to help you. Don't bother with customer care, tech support is wha you need if you do call in.
