Currently I have 750 anytime minutes with unlimited nights and weekends, nights starting at 7pm, sprint mobile to mobile, TEP (insurance), 300 2-way Text Messages. There are two lines for this plan and the total I am paying about now is $89/mo not including a 15% employee discount. My contract was up at the of Jan. 2009. The contract on the second phone ended in 2007.

I want to upgrade to new phones for both. The second line will probably upgrade to a Sanyo phone (doesn't need text messaging or internet). But for my line, I'd want to upgrade to the BB Curve. I remember reading in the past that if you get a Curve you need to get the BIS Pack that is about $30 a month - so that would make my plan rise up to 119 prior to the 15%. So I wondering if there is a way where I could upgrade to the Everything Data plan for the main line but getting it for the Everything Plus™ Referral Program (I think it was $59.99 or $69.99/mo). I've been a Sprint Customer for about 7 years now - not sure if that even makes a difference. But do you have any suggestions on what I could do? Is there a way where I could do something like getting theEverything Plus™ Referral Program for the Curve and then adding the line for the Sanyo for $20 ?(Like I originally did when I added the second line) Do you think if I called customer service they would consider it? In the past I've had bad experiences with customer service. Or should I just go ahead and stay with the plan I have and deal with the $30 price?

Thanks for your suggestions in advance. :fingers:

You need to read this entire thread. Yes I know it is long but you will be well informed on how to apply the knowledge.

Thanks for the reply. As I'm looking through the thread it refers to SERO plans yet I have a Sprint Free & Clear. Is the F&C equivalent to the SERO plans that existed?

Did you read my post?

I read above that you have Free and Clear as well. I was about to reply & ask you if you read the thread posted above for help.

I thought that since I have Free & Clear Sprint Acct services would not change me over to the old Sero plan. I was reading a tutorial about it.

You don't have to be on a Sero plan to get free BIS

Ah I see. I was reading this: http://sprintusers.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2082122&postcount=1886 and figured otherwise. But if you have it I just have to think positive. Ill read the BIS thread for SERO.

Thanks!

You still give the same SOC code ect when trying to add it you just don't have to go thru the trouble of changing plans. I got lucky when speaking to BB Tech support to get mine for Free.

Sweet! Thanks I went to page 127 of the thread and found someone posting that they had free and clear too and is mentioning what you did too. So guess I'll try to get it from echat once I get the BB. Thank you for your help!!:wavey:

Ok, I tried again.

Ashley said that she was not allowed to put "customer supplied codes on accounts." That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard in a while. If it is their freaking code who cares who provides the training to the inept CSR?

So, I was polite and asked why that was a problem. She then hung up on me. Nice. I thought Sprint was getting better at CS???

Is there something specific you suggest I read in that thread? It has 135 pages and most of it seems to be on SERO.

As a favor can someone who has read it give me a summary? I can't read all of that.

I had a one-on-one chat with my 1st grader son last night. He is truely a smart kid but sometimes get a little lazy as he does not feel he is being challenged enough at school, then he sometimes find himself playing catchup. I basically told him to stop being a lazy-A55 and work hard at all times.

My cousin is a very very slow reader (and I mean SLOW) - and even he took a few shots at reading that MASSIVE thread. He eventually got the 'prize' and even gave me a few pointers (LOL, and that's a first) !!!

Not sure where the heck I am getting at, but hey do a little reading, will ya ? Free handouts aren't going to get you anywhere in life.

@ Sprintguru4eva and Winger,

Forget it. You people are pathetic.

@Winger,

You compare me to a slow reader and a 1st grader because I asked very nicely for a summary of a 130 page+ thread? It's not worth it and you are a acting like a jerk. I would say that you are about as mature as my 1st grader. I made a simple, reasonable, polite request and you insulted me. What a helpful response.

@Sprintguru,

You agree and think this is funny? Pathetic. If you want to be a valuable contributor, some maturity is required. Get some. Clearly you are not showing any here.

Next time someone asks a reasonable question in a polite manner, maybe you should spend less time being smart axxes and more time being helpful. It would make for a much better community.

By the way, if your answer is to contact customer service 50-200 times asking the same question I think that is a terrible suggestion. Sprint should cancel and ban anyone who does that. Period. The fact that you may after hours of wasted time find someone (who either doesn't know the rules or is just tired of you for good reason) who will give you what you want is not an excuse for your behavior.

If you think asking for a summary of a 130+ page thread is asking for a "Free handout" and that I'm not ''getting anywhere in life" you are mistaken. I would say that anyone who has the time to bother Sprint customer service 200 times is having trouble prioritizing their life.

I think it all boils down to this, you have to have the patience to try Sprint multiple times to get something added so that is all anyone is getting at really. Just keep up the dedication.

@Sprintguru4eva - You can call me a kid if you want but I would be surprised if I am not older than you. I am definitely more polite and mature. :)

Folks, all I did was make a polite, reasonable request and I was slammed. That was very rude and it doesn't give you or your board a very good image.

That's a shame.

Coal, I am willing to ask a few times for something. It is unfortunate that I would need to but that is reasonable. It is the folks who are proud that they have called and chatted hundreds of times asking for the same discount that I think should re-evaluate how they use their time. A phone call or a chat has to take 10 minutes minimum. So 200x10/60 is 33.3 hours. That better be a heck of a discount...

I was able to get the BIS added free to my 200 min F&C plan. When I bought my Curve I was told that a BIS account was not needed to access the internet, ect. They told me that the vision plan I had would be fine. I spoke to the retention department and told them the problem and they gave me the BIS plan (free version), which is limited, no navigation ect. If I did not get it, I was going to return the phone and go back to my Diamond, but they worked it out for me :)

Is it still possible to say go to Best Buy and upgrade to a Curve and tell them you don't want BIS added at this time or has sprint locked out the ability to add a BB to an account without any sort of BIS/BES

Hey all!

So I finally got my BB in the mail yesterday. Now I've realized I was confused on what services I wanted for the BB. I realize that it is suggested to get Power Vision BB Pack (PVBB) for $30 /month which includes BIS, Unlimited web browsing, Unlimited domestic text messages, Unlimited Sprint Navigation, and a few other things. Now for some reason I thought the BIS was the PVBB. So what does the BIS give me? Shouldn't it include unlimited web browsing?

Also I have the 300 text msg / month plan, should I just swap it with the unlimited version?

Thanks all! I'm a newbie to the BB world hence all my questions.

Did you do it online to request it or did you call? I remember the BIS on SERO thread had a mix of both suggestions.

Since the threads are gone & sprintgurus.com is gone, could someone PM me the SOC for the $10 unlimited BIS for SERO? I have a BB Tour on SERO Voice Only (changed w/o my consent) plus the $30 BB Personal Pack. What do you think my chances are of getting back to the full SERO F&F unlimited plan plus a $10 BIS? Will that get me what I want?

Help!

If I have 3 lines on my F&F family plan that has unlimited data and unlimited text, and I upgrade to 3 blackberry phones, I would have to pay $30 x 3 for BIS? Or if I could get the $10 BIS code then it would be $10 x 3?

It is not $30 BIS for all 3 lines in a family plan? lol Just wishing.

If your SERO plan had data included before then that is why you had to be switched to the voice only, then the BB pack could be added but you also would have needed to have some sort of text package added too.

so you can't have the data included with SERO and the BB pack also because the system won't allow it.

nope it would be $30 per line or whatever your BIS package is on the account x 3

I have a free and clear family plan and one of my three lines have the Free BB and evdo data add on together. Not sure why the evdo didnt drop off but its there if I plan to go to non BB device. Which I never plan on doing.
