Hi everybody,

My brother just cut a "deal" with retentions for a Pearl for $24.99.

He had to pay close to $200 upfront because of something to do with his spending limit, and the retentions rep said that $175 credit will be applied as a backend credit.

What does that mean? (... was my brother ripped off my retentions?)

There going to credit him $175. That doesn't sound like he got ripped off to me

if he has a spending limit, there is no way that he could get the phone for 24.99 upfront the system requires all spending limit customers to pay upfront, so the rep will just give him a 175.00 credit on his next bill. to compensate him. actually the credit should have showed up right then, have your brother check his balance to see if it has been applied.
