I was called today by Sprint because of a unresolved issue about wanting to add a 4th line to my Power pack 1000 family plan.I was told it by 3 different agents that it was impossible to do since it was an old retentions plan. The agent that called today said that they needed to run a credit check on me first before i could add a line.Should i do it?

Sounds like a scam, phishing or something....I'd email ecare and ask them if they recently contacted you via phone and if so what about. Don't tell them, make them tell you. If they say they have no record of calling you then you know it was a scam. If they can prove however they did try to contact you and can prove what about, then i'd say your safe. jmo though.

Yes. but I would call Sprint myself and ask them. Credit check for an established customer sounds weird.

I did contact Sprint through E chat.Someone from Sprint did call me on that day.E chat transferred me to the AAP dept. The agent there said i could add up to 10 lines of service to my account, and it wouldn't require a credit check, but they couldn't be added to my Family PP 1000 plan as it is an expired plan. Then while my phone was turned off i got a call from a supervisor in the Sprint MIT dept about my unresolved (adding a line ) issue.I'm going to call her back tomorrow.

That’s pretty cool. The credit-check thing didn’t make much sense to me; although I have to admit I never had to add a line to my account.
One of my general rules is that if someone calls me and asks for my credit information, I am very polite and ask for their contact info and call them back (usually through the corporate number).
It does look like your situation will resolve well though; I am glad that Sprint is trying to make you happy with this stuff. <RANT>; with the way that most businesses are hurting, I would think they should be happy to talk to someone who wants to buy more services.

Been trying to reach the agent that called yesterday to no avail. The call keeps going to a pre-recorded message saying that i reached her when she is unavailable & please call back.Been trying since 9:00am this morning. Getting frustrated.

The agent with MIT offered me the F & C 1000/$50 plan yesterday so i could add a 4th line .She said it would $10 but only for a year then it would go to $ 20.I asked if they could send me the plan details to my email so i could be sure it had the same features as my PPplan. But they haven't done so yet.The agent couldn't guarantee that all my add ons would be able to switch over either.Although i was very pleased that someone finally found a way to help me i think i'll just keep the plan i already have.Don't want to risk losing it, cause once it's gone there's no way to get it back.

Good to hear they are still offering that plan!
