So as the title says I'm trying to help out a couple of friends with a plan change and a new customer. I have been racking my brain and am trying to give them the best suggestions.

Friend #1 (New Sprint Customer) is paying about $120 - $130 a month for her and her daughter for unlimited calling, M2M, UL texts, pics, etc but it is only an area wide style plan.

She is looking at the Family messaging for $99 because it includes the things she uses most. She nor her daughter use the Web so data is not needed. She told me she would just have to get her daughter to scale back the I can talk whenever she wants habit.

Now she knows what I have on my plan and one thing she would really like would be the $5 UL incoming just for her 2nd line (daughters) so she would have to worry less about watching her daughters minutes. Also I have read various posts about Picmail getting charged data usage on the Messaging plans.

Being a new customer what are the chances within the first 30 day grace period of being able to get these added on for her. $5 UL incoming and the free PV on the lines so as not to worry about the possible Picmail data charges?

Ok on to friend #2

She and her brother are on the Family data 1500 $129.99

The past couple of months they have only used 300 - 500 shared minutes. However the catch is the data side. She uses PV to check her email occasionaly or look something up online not too often but enough. On the second line her brother uses the SprintNav all the time.

Shared they both text like crazy (5000 + combined a month) use mostly M2M.

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what route to take for them to pay a little less since they don't need nearly the minutes they currently have available.

The easiest solution might be to have them purchase the old SERO plans from someone selling them on fleabay.

yeah but they both need shared plans, not just a SERO plan and then hopes to get it cloned.

Why do they need shared plans? If they are only sharing two lines, then getting two of the old SERO lines will be cheaper than any of the currently advertised shared plans. Getting on one of the cheaper expired shared plans for a new customer is going to be very difficult. Also, it takes a good amount of work to obtain all of the various add-ons that make some of the older plans so great. If they only need two lines, then purchasing old SERO plans is going to be the simplest solution and probably reduce their bill by approximately 50%.

Get them both on the $50 1000 shared plan with Unlimited Incoming and Pick 3. They get Vision added for free or discounted if needed.

The best plan for both would be the Everything Plus™ Family

This plan includes
Unlimited data: Web surfing, email, BlackBerry Internet Services (BIS), GPS Navigation, Music Premier, TV Premier, NFL Mobile Live and NASCAR Sprint Cup MobileSM
Unlimited messaging: Text, pictures and video
Talk: Unlimited mobile to mobile, night calling and weekends starting at 7 p.m., nationwide long distance and no roaming charges
Lines 1-2 included.

1600 $109.99

The other option for friend 1 would be to get Pick 3 added for the friends she calls the most.

If you actually read my first post you would see it is 2 different friends yes but 4 people total. (2 separate 2 line plans) I appreciate the thoughts and help anyway.

I thought about this for one but the friend who would be a new customer I doubt I would be able to get the shared expired plan. I would try to get her the $5 UL incoming but is that even possible with a brand spanking new customer.

This would be a good option for both however can you add Employee discounts to the "new" SERO plans? That was the reason I was looking at the 1500 Messaging for the $99 because it would be about $84 after discount but before any other add ons.

You should know by now anything is possible with Sprint just find the right Rep! It's worth a shot anyways all they can do is say no.

I understood your post was above two separate groups of friends. What was unclear was whether either set of friends would need more than two lines. If they only need two lines, then I still think my suggestion is the simplest solution. I won't try to convince you though but I'll be interested in what you come up with and whether it has more features and is cheaper than having each set of your friends get two of the old SERO lines. $30 for each line x 2 lines = $60 total plus taxes and surcharges. So each set of your friends would pay $60 before taxes and surcharges for unlimited data, text, nights and weekends, and 500 anytime minutes.

Good luck!

I do appreciate the input sorry if I came across as a bit ungrateful. I think the SERO would be a good choice for my second group the current customers since they use so few minutes.

The first group though is currently used to the unlimited calling (mainly my friends daughter) so it might be hard to rope her in with that low of minutes.
