Hi All,
Glad I found this forum. Hopefully I can get some answers to a task that I've been struggling w/for a little while. My goal is to connect my Sanyo SCP-7050 to my laptop, in some manner blue tooth, cable or whatever so I can download/upload ring tones to my device. I've tried using a USB data cable and have been able to download my contacts info but not ring tones. Any advise on how to do this w/o having to download them off the net and incurring web access costs?
Thanks,
H.G.

I have the exact same question and haven't been able to find an answer for it yet. I've downloaded BitPim, but when I place wallpaper / ringtones into it and then click the "send to phone" button, everything is grayed out except for the Phonebook line.
The whole reason that I got a phone like this was that I just wanted a basic phone that works as a phone, and don't want to incur additional charges for things like the web. It works great, but I'd like to put some pictures on it for wallpaper, like my bike, family, friends, etc. without having to go through the web to do it.

Good luck... I successfully "hooked" my phone to my computer via Blue Tooth but found that Sprint's phones (at least the 7050's) use some odd-ball file types that you won't find anywhere else but from Sprint... >:(

Get a program called "BitPim." It'll let you upload your own ringtones and swap around contacts. I don't feel like typing out a tutorial on how to use it, but I hope I've steered you in the right direction. Now Google can help you.

I do have BitPim, but it grays out all of the upload options except the address book, so that I can't send any files to the phone. I was hoping that someone here might know if there's a trick to getting files to upload via USB that I can use.
I tried pairing the phone with my laptop via Bluetooth, and it works, kinda. The computer will only recognize the phone as a wireless modem, so I still can't send any files to it that way. I can pull up a wallpaper image and try to send it via Bluetooth to the phone, but then it just gives me an error message ("Sending of image failed").
The reverse works though - I can send business card files to the computer from the phone, so I know that the connection is working. It just only works the one way...
