View Full Version : Pick 3 + Unlimited Incoming: Should I keep both?

I use GrandCentral with my Diamond. I got pick 3 first. I never really took advantage of the outgoing aspect of pick 3.

And this weekend, I got Unlimited Incoming for $5. Should I still keep Pick3? I am paying $5 for it.

Are they any aspects that I am taking advantage of with Pick 3 that I should consider.

Thanks.

Call AS and ask them to make it a $0 cost or included and if they don't, then remove it and then call back and ask it to be added with a different rep for $0cost. I don't know why sprint plays that game of charging people $5 for this addon since it' can eaisly be added for free!

I'm in the same boat as the OP, minus grand central. I have a couple of co-workers who have GC and don't need it, so they offered me to take theirs. The obvious downsides of GC are loss of caller ID, and the fact that there's an extra proxy, which doesn't help the call quality. People also need to have 2 numbers for you (incoming/outgoing) which might be a bit annoying. After all, I think I'll stick with $5 option. Spazticrecordses suggestion is kind of risky; considering what it takes some people to get the feature, I'd not take it off my account.

5 dollars is totally worth it for free incoming.

Sprint could shake the market if they made this standard on all plans.... but they love their SE plans, so whatever.

I would hang on to both, even at $5...lots of people (myself inc.) cannot get unlimited inc even added...it is well worth the $5

I asked for unlimited incomming yesterday and they said it is no longer available. They gave me pick3 for $5 and a 15% discount off my bill instead.

It's not hard or risky to take off PICK3 and then get it re-added. It's once of the easiest add-ons to get right now. The unlimited incoming addon I wouldn't touch becuase that's a hard one to get back. Call and remove PICK3 then call back again and have them add it for free. It's very easy and will save you $5 a month.

Thank you very much for all your input. As suggested, I will remove the Pick3 and try to get it back for free, if that.

But I am definitely keeping the Unlimited Incoming.

Again, thank you.

I use GC for both incoming and outgoing, using my browser on the phone. It's quite alright after you get used to it.

The call quality of GC depends on the phone too, I think. It was horrible on my Touch. But when I switched to Diamond, it's almost perfect.

Prior to Unlimited Incoming, I had to use the GC number for caller ID. Now, I can open it up. And it's good.

you're right I've mis-read the OP. Didn't realize some reps were adding $5 Pick3, so I've assumed OP had a free one. I second your suggestion about removing $5 Pick 3, and trying to get a free version.

to the op, if you have a spending limit, you can't get pick 3 for free, and if you get it removed, you are not guaranteed to get it back, or least not without 3 or 4 phone calls. just food for thought.
