Back in December, I got Sprint's 'Pick 3' added to both my lines in the course of an epic Account Services / Retention / renewal saga that was eventually rescued by Executive services in a 'save' of my eight year long Sprint account.

Imagine my surprise then when just now my partner called me from LA to tell me that Verizon had given him 'pick 25'.

I said "No way. I read about that. It's pick 5. That's what Verizon has."

"No" he said. "I have both lines, data, international stuff, they gave me 25 numbers--any land line or cell network--unlimited outgoing to them all".

Within the circles in which we travel, competitive shopping is a blood sport, both by nature and by rite. I'm consumed with jealousy. I've been boasting about my ##% discount (so good I'm afraid to name it), unlimited grandfathered Power Vision data and text and a bill with two lines south of $100 taxes and everything all in, even two free BB 8330's. Heck, he sees my bill, it goes on my expense report every month, so he knows it's true.

Now I'm toast. I'll likely never hear the end of this. Next time he tries to get me on to Verizon under his plan, well, well, I dunno. I just don't know.

Actually, I do know. Sprint Customer Service has been so good for me these last few months that as long as it stays this way, a couple of bucks could never get me to quit. There. I've said it. I'll say it again...nuff said?

If this keeps up, it would probably be unlimited everything for around $20/mo. Pretty soon, it would be pick-everything in the universe and I'll send my wireless carrier the phone book for the united states for the data entry clerks to enter one by one into my account.

Sprint will stubbornly cling to their "do all save all" simply everything plan as their answer to calling circles.

"Pick 25" I highly doubt that many. 10 maybe 15 numbers I could see, but not 25.

I suppose if your talking about SEP (129.99), you can't really compare pick 25 to pick 300 million nationwide

So how much is your partner paying in Verizon bills? More than you I'm pretty sure...

So how much is your partner paying in Verizon bills? More than you I'm pretty sure...

Him VRZ: Two lines, 3000 min (maybe its 5000?, anyway its way more than the two of them can possibly use), data, navigation, international calling (something like a $5 monthly fee plus around $0.08 per minute charge); $170/month.

Yes, he pays far more than what I do.

We'll be on the road together several times over the coming months. In the recent past, comparative coverage in the boonies has been a toss-up. Since I have roaming, I feel that Sprint has been a little better.

Advertising campaigns aside, my Sprint customer service puts his VRZ CS to shame.

I guess I just don't use my phone even close to enough to use Pick 25. I have Pick 3 that Sprint gave me and that is enough for me. I maybe could use 2 more but 25? I guess it's possible.

I dont use my phone enough. When I was able to get pick 3 I was happy. I barely use any of my anytime minutes now with the pick 3. If I had gotten pick 5 for $5 when the offered it to me I would have struggled to get numbers to fill the spots. At least numbers I call repeatedly. Pick 25 would have just been wasted on me lol

I just heard the Verizon commercial on the radio for the Circle 25 or whatever they are calling it. Nearest Verizon store to me now has signs posted offering the calling circle with up to 25 numbers. So the OP is definitely correct.

Verizon has ads for single lines of 5 and fam of 10, Alltel has 5, 10 and 20 that can be used for all the fam lines with each getting thier own #'s while vzw's fams pool the same 10. Til someone shows proof of this I will call shenanigans
