I have watched a few releases of sprint phones and this i must say is the strangest release ever... no date, information on sprint.com, now they have the 360 view available... all of this w/ no date and no price.... but yet all this data on the site but just a little bit at a time

I have only followed the launch of one other phone, the Instinct. I followed that one begging in April and it was released at the end of June. So, I'm not sure how unusual this release is, but here's the latest from Hesse:

"We don't want it to be too early where there's only a handful of Pres in the whole country. We want to make sure that we can also have production ramped up at a reasonable level before we launch the product. We're not going to bring it out until we're really confident that the launch is going to be really successful in terms of how it operates."
