I been trying to get Free Vision on my $50/1000 minute shared plan.

I have tried with e-chat several times and also e-care (e-mail). But they declined each time (saying no it wasn't avaliable/expired/etc)

I also tried giving them a code, but I got the same message.

So, anyone who was able to get free vision, what exactly did you do?

Thanks~

I just asked and no problems. Maybe the rules changed in 2009.

Free vision on all 4 lines or just one? It is easier to get one verses all four. I got free vison on my 2 line $50/1000min plan in 2007.

Dale, which method did you two use? Phone/Chat/E-mail?

Also, I have been requesting it for only one phone (mines).

I had it added on my new second line and then a week later just asked nicely to have my main line switched from the $10 Access Pack to the $0 Power Vision Pack. I also added TEP to the second line so I like to think that helped because instead of dropping $10 off my plan a month it only dropped $3 in reality.

mine isnt free but $10 discounted PV which with my 25% discount comes to $7.50, compare that to the competition and its pretty close to free...maybe you are trying too hard for "free" and you should go for a discount.

"Is there anything else I can help you with"

"Yeah, I dont want to pay an extra 30 bucks, I dont need BIS or navigation. Is there someway you could just add internet for free to all four of my lines?"

"One moment.... All done, was there anything else?"

Kid you not.

They know the code for it, most do for this anyhow. Free Power Vision is not all that difficult over all like the other freebies.

I personally do everything by SOC.

"Please add SOC XXXX to my account"

One out of many will do it.

Just called (First was inquired about the $5 incoming minutes, I just needed in 2 phones, not all 4)

Then I said, I don't need Blackberry or Navigation, but can I have free internet?

He said no. So I asked about a discount?

He asked which phone. I said my last 4 digit of my phone number.

Waited a minute, he said he can get me $10 Vision.

I declined and will try again later.

I am sure you are wanting to know how people have gotten free vision recently?

This wasnt recently, but I was honest with a retention rep about 4 years ago. I was switching plans from the Free & Clear plans of $100/1800 or $100/2500 to my current $60/1200. I said, just because I was switching plans, I thought I should be able to keep the free vision. She agreed with me, and applied a $20 monthly recurring credit to offset the PV Plus pack. About a year ago, I remembered that this offsetting credit likely would expire, I asked if it would, and the rep removed the credit, and changed it to included. Also changed 500 recurring free texts to unlimited included.

So it depends on how you get free PV. You can call and ask if they can do anything to lower your bill?

I got it discounted in jan. to $7.50 by saying my picture mail kept charging me. In reality it did for me cuz im was using a WinMo phone before the fix, but i did a little surfing on the side too. Very friendly rep. First they tried to give me 9.99 and i asked if that was the best they could do and how hard it was to port a number when i cancel and they responded with 7.50 lol

I called retentions this morning and asked if I can have it for free as I have it on my other line for free and that is really what is preventing me from upgrading. She looked at my account and said that it is the least they can do since I have been with them for so long and within a quick 2 minutes it was done and she did not even mention me having to upgrade either.

She was really a sweet lady from the beginning of the call. Sometimes you can tell you're not going to have any luck just from the tone of the reps voice once they get on the line. As last night's request for the same thing was a complete no go even though I had continuous dropped calls for about 2 hours yesterday, the rep offered nothing but verbal apologies.

Turned down again, by phone call. I had to dispute a charge (Was being double charge for unlimited calls) Was told that my $5 unlimited calls was offered and free vision won't be. I wonder how many times I can try *lol*

I have vision, not power vison. If I upgraded to a Treo Pro, would the internet still be free? What the heck is this Vision pro stuff? Are the SOC codes still the same. Can someone please PM me the SOC code for free Vision Pro. Thanks.

By the way, what is better: A blackberry or the new Palm Pro? What about the Palm Pre? is that going to be better than the Palm Pro?

I recently got the vision plus pack added on for $0/mo.

I had just renewed my contract early and signed up for Everything Messaging Share (1500). My problem was that I was getting charged for picmail when it should be included (I assumed it was because of the txt message links...)

Tried E-chat...got a $20 credit for data used (had used about $6) and a solid promise that my problem was fixed and I would not incur any more charges for using picmail. Yeah sure whatever....I knew he didn't fix anything and new charges were there the next day.

Tried calling....got rep that was totally clueless (oops my battery died, guess I have to call back)...third call/rep was the charm. He flat out offered it to me for free since he believed I should be able to use picmail since I was paying for it. I then asked if I could have it on all three lines since we all wanted to use the picmail...he said sure, and BAM! There it was.

Getting the free vision was not ultimately my goal...I merely wanted to be able to use the picmail without incurring data charges, although I must add that having it offered for free was something that crossed my mind as a way to rectify my situation.

YMMV.

This is exactly how I got it (I was being charged data for using pic. mail). Actually, when I first got it, it was just unlimited data, but wasn't listed in my add-ons. It disappeared after the first 2 months, so I tried e-care. The e-care rep said she would add it back...$15/month/line. I said I didn't want it if I had to pay for it since it was free before. She said ok, and now I have the Power Vision Pack on both lines for free.

Looks cool. I logged in and saw:
# Sprint Unlimited Data Pack Included
under my phone.

I only requested it to be added on my phone and not the other 3.

i just tried via chat and email today and all i was able to do was get a 5.00 credit toward the vision data add on. no go at all on any discounts for the text messaging. they are being really stingey (sp?) with discounts even if it means losing a customer over it

As you see, this is Account Services. Otherwise known (in the old days) as Retentions. This dept has the ability to do ALMOST anything (well more than other depts) to save you and keep you happy with Sprint. They even have their own set of SOC codes to add stuff to your account.

That is the number I call for most anything I need with Sprint that isnt "add this for me."

There is a post here named find plan code that will tell you how to go into your sprint page & find the codes for your plan & your add ons.Basically go to your sprint page , click on plan details, right click on page anywhere, go down to page source,& click on that.Scroll down until you find your plan & add on info.

We got free vision for all three phone on our plan due to major billing errors for picture mail data usage. Didn't ask for it but when it was offered, didn't bat an eye! Had a really nice rep too...that matters.
