Local Long Distance Charge Mystery...

Alright...this is kinda amusing. So I was able to get switched to an "expired" F & C family shared plan last week (many of you know about this.) This morning i decided to check my current usage online, and noticed that we were being charge $ .20 for a few minutes under "Local LD". Now, i came from SERO so of course long distance had always been included, I was was promised by AS that everything would be the same when I made the switch to a shared plan. I called up AS, and they had absolutely NO clue as to why this is happening. The rep that helped me spent a good 30 minutes looking for a free long distance SOC to add and couldn't come up with anything. He ended up telling me to just wait for the actual printed bill to see if these charges show up and call them then to have things straightened out. Does any of you have any insight into this mystery?

Actually that happened to me too... I haven't changed my plan for over 5yrs and have never been charged local long distance. I called in and they gave me a credit. It hasn't happened since then... Probably a problem with the system

I too have an old F & C plan that clearly includes domestic long distance in the base plan itself and I too was suddenly noticing local long distance charges. Apparently a recent system change causes the system to not register the long distance in certain grandfathered plans. The free long distance has to be added to the plan as an add-on and it's not a difficult code to add. There are a few out there. Call Account Services, they can fix this.:tu:

Yeah...i am getting all kinds of weird charges since we switched to this old F&C plan and basically been told to wait for the bill to come and call back then cuz they have no clue what's going on themselves.

And I thought I was the only one. I reported this last month here in SU when I first noticing these long D charges. echat removed saying it was a system issue. It is happening again this new billing period.

I am on an OLD FandCAmerica family shared plan.
