smartphones. Except for the Treo Pro. The quote they use is "Maybe the most important handset to be announced in two years."

Side question: How come this is being featured and not the Treo Pro. Isn't the Pro supposed to be announced before our beloved Pre?

the primary reason is the treo pro has received no official announcement yet the pre has

Are there any confirmations out there of a Treo Pro actually coming to market? I'm curious if Palm may have had a second thought about releasing the device. Or at least releasing it in the 1H2009...

I personally played with a Palm Pro two days ago in my local sprint store. they don't have any in stock, but one of the reps had one for "demonstration"

It looks fine. Supposedly, it has sprint music and Kinoma Freeplay which can also be downloaded on the 800w. I also noticed that the right soft button had and "internet" option on the main screen.

I got off the phone with Retention yesterday after confirming the ETF waiver period ends on 3/15 and she said that she thinks the Pre will be released in March. My 800w crashed and I currently dont have service (or at least any service I can use right now)

I think I'm resolved that it the Pre isn't out by the then, I'm cancelling my service...

thank you for the sanity. I have seen more read into this about the Pro when this is the obvious answer.

Thanks for the answer Brett.

I don't see why you, BTSmith have to be so melodramatic. It was a question and just a question.

Besides you would think the Pro would have been advertised more by now since it is being released before the Pre. Not to mention it has already been released on a CDMA network in Canada. Just stating the obvious statement.

I believe this is a sure sign that it will not require an SE plan.

Not following your logic. :indiff:

Not following your logic. :indiff:

i guess the logic is..sprint is promoting the phone to business users also..and they usually dont push the SEP on them.

2nd thing is none of the phones in that lineup requires SEP..

though what's wierd is there's a giant link to the SEP on the bottom. lol

The link now shows the Treo Pro, so again, I believe this is a sure sign it will not need a SE/SEP

Like I said in the other thread:

If you look at the fine print it says REQUIRES activition on an everything plan with data

BUT it also says .03KB charges apply without a data plan so... maybe there's hope? IDK, I gave up trying to guess it, I'll just wait till it comes out.

If it follows Sprints usual smartphone dance, you can activate it on a a regular plan if you want, but you wont get your mail in rebate.

And as long as I get my $150 off for renewing my contract, I am cool with that.
