Is a Boost Mobile phone able to use group Direct Connect or Talkgroups?

I can't speak for the phones themselves, but my Nextel i580 is Group Connect capable as long as it has a Nextel SIM in it. Once I put in a Boost SIM it looses all group capability.

Generally speaking the boost phones dont have as many options. They are meant to be lower end so they purposely made to have less options.

perhaps someone has already answered this, but are boost phones able to push to talk with sprint phones? ALso, somewhat related, is this using sprint ready link or some other technology? There has been some talk of sprint abandoning this technology, but then on what basis will PTT work? (since I've read that sprint is abandoning the old nextel iden ptt by 2012) Any clarification of this confusing mess would be much appreciated! (The manager of a local radio shack said yes, boost can PTT with any "newer" sprint phones, but unclear on exactly what network) Help?!?

When I first got my v950 (which uses Qchat) I tested the PTT function with a Nextel i580 using a Boost SIM and it worked fine.
