Hello,
My wife has the Katana Eclipse X and having the same problem again that she had 2 months ago. She only got the phone in October and this is the second phone to do the same thing... here it is.
The phone starts 'acting funny' and then she gets a 'corrupt error' message that also tells you to turn off and restart the phone. Then the screen will not light up when you open the phone.
When we brought it in the first time im Nov/Dec the tech couldnt figure it out so they gave her a new phone.
Removing the battery doesnt fix it either, it just takes a few minutes for the screen to light up and then same error messages.
With my wife being 7.5 months pregnant, we are both concerned that this is going to S the bed at the wrong time. We've had the phone over 30 days and i do have the insurance on it, but has anyone else run into this problem wth this phone?
Any suggestions.
Thanks.

I am having the same problem with my wife's pink eclipse x - it is also showing an error on the screen that says "An error has occurred, please restart the phone." Any amount of restarts, removing the battery etc. is not fixing it. I also took it to the Sprint store and had them update the firmware. That stopped the error for a few minutes and then it started again after I left the store. This is a very new phone - about 3 months old. I called tech support and they just sent me a replacement (refurbished). When I charged it and turned it on, it also gave the SAME error!! However, after I restarted the phone, the new phone has still not repeated this error. I will now go to the store to get the numbers transferred and hold on to my old phone for a few more days before sending it back to Sprint.
Any additional comments appreciated.
Thanks,

The techs at the store said they have never seen this problem before except only in my wifes phones.
Her's is pink as well. I doubt it has anything to do with it, but vertainly a weird coinceidence.
She is on the third one and on 4/9 (my day my son was due) it happened again. thankfully this time pulling the battery out and starting it, the error went away.
Do you have an aftermarket mem chip in it? If so, what brand and size? Any music on it?
Also, I have noticed that data charges appear on the usage of this line around when the phone dies. Even though data is supposedly blocked (called numerous times to do so), I still get charged on my bill for it
No one has ever been able to 'confirm' this is a problem with anyone else.
If you hear anything else, let me know.
Thanks.

Yes, she had a 4GB card in it. The new phone is currently appearing to be working fine. I will wait for a few more days before returning the old one. Now, I will also try to remove the micro SD card as part of trouble shooting if I run into this problem again.
Thanks.

One more thing...
I too have the data plan blocked. I do not see any additional data related charges in the online usage detail. I will also watch out in my subsequent bills.

Mine is a Kingston that I got online. I have been using it on my other phones also without any problem at all.
