Hi All,

I just saw this article and I apologize if it is reported in another forum. My question for all you engineers is how close to video conferencing are we in the USA? Can the Palm Pre offset this news flash:laughing:

I'll never understand patenting. Lets take an idea that's been around for years and implemented all over the world.....but patent it because we're putting it on a cell phone. I'm actually kind of surprised it hasn't happened yet. With data use amongst mobile phone users on the rise, its really only a matter of time. Although, i'm not exactly sure how practical it would be on a cell phone. Usually its more for like presentations for large groups - so I'd think you'd need or at least want some sort of display device and video out like I believe the Touch Pro has.

I guarantee it doesn't. Camera is on other side of phone from screen. If they can see you, you won't be able to see them (the screen is on the other side)

SprintUsers.com was created in January 2002 as a resource for users of Sprint PCS products and services to learn about and share information. We have cll phone reviews, Cellular Accessories, Downloads, PDA reviews, Ringtones, all of the latest Sprint PCS news and information, an area where you can find help in creating a ring tone or custom image for you phone, and so much more. The most popular section is the message board where visitors can read and write messages, ask questions, and get advice about their cellular phone from other users.
