Are all the new Sprint phones now coming with an Automatic only option instead of having both Automatic and Roaming only? Automatic sucks (which just defaults to Sprint, weak signal or not)! With Roaming only you can lock it down and your battery doesn't take a dump.... Someday you may find yourself with a weak Sprint signal or none at all and will remember this post, unless we put the heat on Sprint or the manufacturers.....

You can add Roam Only to any WM Phone.

Yeah, but what about the Instinct or the new Palm Pre?

The Instinct doesn't have Roam only and requires a special plan. I'm not sure about the Pre but if doesn't have a roam only option and requires a SEP plan, that's my cue to leave Sprint.

Wrong, Roam will only look for roaming and constantly search, which will kill your battery, Auto will look for the strongest signal and lock on, saving your battery.

Actually you're incorrect. Roaming will stay on a signal once it finds one whereas Automatic will keep mving from a weak signal to roam and vice versa. My battery life has been much better since I swtiched to roam only in my apartment where the Sprint signal is weak and Verizon is strong.

no nonsense here buddy, I didn't feel the need to respond and argue. Maybe you should research your topics before you pass judgment on the wrong individual.
