Pro - 200 - Firmware Update...

I just got a message on my phone stating that "A New Firmware Package is ready to install. It will take approximately 1 minutes to install. Would you like to install ?"

Anyone else see a firmware update for Pro 200 or even Pro 700 ? I currently have 1.008SP and haven't done the update, I thought was the most recent firmware...

I didn't see any information on the boards so I thought I'd throw something up there. If it's an update to improve the stability of the phone (randrom reboots....text messaging issues) I'd be happy to do it, but if it's gonna rip out the "Roaming Only" function of the phone it's not going to be good. I'd imagine it'd probably be more geared towards qchat if anything.

Please let me know if anyone tries it an notices anything different immediatly.

Well I did it, I didn't immediatly notice anything other than the version is now "1.010SP" and the function to force roaming still there... If I notice anything new/different using the phone I'll update here.

I just checked my Pro700's firware version, and I have the 1.010SP. However, I'm not sure when I got that version. I have owned the Pro700 since it was first released. I don't remember doing a firmware update, but I may have forgotten.

Mine was automatically pushed across the network somehow... I just flipped open my phone and had a yes/no prompt asking me if i wanted to update software... It had apparently already downloaded the file across the network and was just waiting for my approval... I'm not sure if there's a setting somewhere in the phone to just do the update automatically.

The only thing I noticed different to date with this firmware is my Sprint Navigation no longer works... lol it used to ask me if I wanted to update the software when I launched the app, now when I go to launch it, it tells me I need to pay...

Kind of sucks, but I was able to use it for free for so long on this phone, I thought it was just because it was built into the phone's main menu... hmm oh well.
