Hi Everyone,

This is probably a stupid question so please forgive me. Can the 8400 use mp3's as ring tones? I ask because I downloaded a ring tone for zedge.com, uploaded it to my phone but I can not find it anywhere. The ring tone plays once after it was downloaded.

I have other ringers on my phone that I have download and I had no problems with them. I just don't remember what format they were.

If anyone can help an apparent moron with this question, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the time and have a great day everyone!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.11) Sprint PPC6850SP)

Yes it can, the phone creates an others folder sometimes so check for that under my content.

Thanks for the input Brandon. I checked in My Content folder but there was nothing. Well, my other ring tones are there but not the new one. Any other ideas?

the 8400 uses mp4 ringtones.

Well, I tried again. I converted the ringer to mp4 and uploaded it with the focus tool; when it downloads to the phone, I get this error:
Data Error 905
Attribute Mismatched

I used Media-Convert to go from mp3 to mp4 and uploaded with the focus uploader. Have I missed something? Thanks everyone.

George

I figured it out. I converted it to .m4a and that was the ticket. Thank you all very much for the help. Have a great afternoon and THANK GOD ITS FRIDAY!
