Anyone know if the PRE will have visual voicemail? Haven't heard anything about it, but it would be a nice feature.

Hey NM08 - did you get anything further about visual voicemail out of Palm/Sprint at CTIA?

Agreed. I know that this topic was brought up in another thread discussion on here, not sure where it was and what page, but I recalled that NM08 was going to take a look at getting something out of Sprint/Palm at CTIA on it. So I thought I would bring this thread back up.

After reading up on it a little more, I think this feature would be awesome to have. If Sprint is truly up on advertising productivity, this is one tool that would meet it!

haha... yeah, I was the one who brought it up. I think they gave him the run around when he was trying to get more info on it. I don't know if I'd take that as a good sign or a bad sign.

I don't know why they couldn't just give a straight up answer...

Wonder if it would be worth going to the 20 cents a minute for YouMail. I'm sure that they will have a client for the Pre coming out too. I recall hearing something about forwarded calls when I signed up for my plan, but I don't recall if they said it was or wasn't included. I'll have to give CS a call to find out if I have it on my everything plan...

OK - so now that there is something up on precentral about visual voicemail it brought my mind back to wondering about this. And what do you know, I went out and searched for my old thread on it. OK anyway, anyone know of any apps being developed to handle visual voice mail for the Pre?

i read that there's not gonna be pre visual voicemail at launch...but maybe someone might make an app for it....thats all

That's the only thing I miss about the Instinct, Visual Voicemail is pretty awesome.

Maybe the mystery additional feature is Google Voice.

I have been thinking about this and why would you complete with the Iphone in almost every category and give up on Visual Voice Mail? We know that it will work on the Sprint Network.

Since the Pre was announced, Google has announced several features that the Pre needed for Synergy...Calendar, Contacts and Note Syncing. Google just announced Google Voice, but hasn't been allowing expansion outside of the bay area (I think). Maybe this is the big coming out party for Google Voice Too.

Sorry, Google Voice will send you text to speech copies of your voicemails, among other things.
