I don't have the data service and I don't subscribe to the connection service. All I have is plain voice service, but what I'd like to do is edit/manage/maintain my CONTACTS file from my PC; then be able to upload/download it to my phone. I have been able to save my contacts to the MicroSD card and bring the onto my PC and see them. But I cannot figure out how to successfully edit the file and upload it back to the phone.
Is this possible without having to buy extra services?

If you are using Vista 32 or 64 bit edition you can edit the contacts thru Windows Contacts formally Outlook. Microsoft renamed Outlook in Vista. Or even with XP you can edit your contacts on the card. To upload contacts back to the phone's memory would have to be done thru bluetooth or you would have to buy a product called Datapilot. www.datapilot.com .

I am using XP, and my preference would be to use Bluetooth. I have the phone already see on my PC as a bluetooth device. I'm pretty new to all this.
What application can I use to edit the .vcf file?
How do I get it back via bluetooth to the phone?
Much appreciate the help.

You can edit the file thru Outlook in the Windows program section. Once you are done pair up phone and PC then upload your contacts via the bluetooth wizard. Depending on your bluetooth stack this may or may not work. Some bluetooth stacks do not support contacts transfer. I use a WIDCOMM bluetooth stack that came with my Belkin bluetooth adpator that does support contact transfers. If you need a good bluetooth stack goto www.belkin.com and download it. I am not sure on how the stack will work with your system tho. You may want to Google first before trying it.

I think I've managed to get to/from phone/PC via Bluetooth, thanks for the tips. I still have a problem with editing the data.
The file that I get from the phone has about 20 contacts in it. When I go to Outlook2003, I do FILE --- IMPORT AND EXPORT --- and then select a .vcf file to import. When I do this, I only get the first contact.
If I open the same .vcf file with XP "Address Book", I can click "cancel" on each one and see all 20 contacts one at a time - but I have no idea on how to edit them using XP Address Book and probabaly prefer Outlook anyway.
Can someone provide some specific detailed guidance on how to manipulate and edit the .vcf file in and out of Outlook? Much appreciated.
