Is the new Pre WebOS be compatable with medical software? It seems as though most medical software is sold only for WM or Palm OS....

OK - so with this first "suggested" date likely to come and pass, I wanted to get thinking a little bit more about what might be nice to have in webOS that we haven't seen yet. Now I know Synergy is suppose to sync everything together. That said, will it be able to sync completely with Google contacts like Google Sync for the Blackberry OS? I recently was able to get my phone book in order for the first time ever with cell phones thanks to that.
Any other must have apps to be coming out??

Google has a sync program for outlook as well, so at the very lease you could sync to outlook first and then sync to your phone (you can do this now with any phone that supports exchange). But I'm pretty sure the Pre is supposed to handle all of that anyway.

Ok, so I'm planning on getting the Pre. It'll be my first smartphone. I'm just wondering how secure WebOS will actually be? I've heard the old Palm OS was pretty secure, but would I actually be able to do stuff like pay bills on-line and stuff without really having to worry about getting my bank account hijacked or anything?

I think that depends more on the security of your bank's website more than the security of the Pre. Granted, it would be a wireless transmission and that can always be compromised, but no more than doing your online banking over a wireless connection. I think you would be okay. I know Wells Fargo has a mobile banking site (and I imagine that other banks do as well) that works really well for me. I know that I am going to do it when I get it.
