Hell yah! Solid play by the whole team! If Farmar was there he definitely would have made Rondo foul out of the game though.

I love when Gasol and Odom play like the did today especially Odom. When Odom plays like this we're unstoppable!

By the way, Celts are definitely missing Posey after this game. Kobe had is way with the Celts this game.

Lakers looked like they wanted some revenge from last years beatings from Boston. However it's just one game early in the season so I wouldn't get to excited about it. It was kind of funny seeing Rondo and Allen get into it.

As good as the win was for the Lakers it really donest mean much since it's not the Finals. But it's good to see them beat them.

It might mean more than you think come playoff time. (ie - Home court advantage) But, hopefully my Cavs are playing you and you won't have to worry about it. I thank the Lakers though, for bringing the Celts down to 4 losses!

To anyone who thinks that game didn't mean anything your fooling yourself. That game meant a lot to both sides. Lakers had to prove that they learned from last years loss and toughened up and that with a healthy lineup they can compete and beat Boston.

So far the Lakers did something that none of the upper elite teams have been able to do and that's beat Boston, right now that means a lot

I didn't think the Lakers had a chance to beat Boston, but now watching how well Kobe played team ball and the strong Boston "D" being confused at times, the Lakers have sent a message to the league that they will see Boston in the finals again come June and very well beat them. Boston has trouble with long athletic teams (Atlanta) and they showed it against the Lakers energy and Bynum's added presence down low. Go Lakers! :headbang2

espn has the Lakers rated at #1 now. Adande on ESPN said the only reason the Lakers lost those games previous was because they were bored and waiting for the Celtics. The only team that excites them.

that's funny that you believe something like that and if that happens in the playoffs it will be a early exit for the Lakers. Whoever gets home court in the playoffs is the key. i know if the cavs beat boston next fri I'm not going to get all that excited about since it's just one game.

I don't see why you wouldn't get excited? If Cav's beat them it means Cav's have a small chance in the Playoffs. If they lose that does a lot of damage to the mentality of the Cav's.

So far the Hawks and Cavs are better this year yes I know so are the Lakers. I'm not sure if Boston is better. Even though Lebron didn't play all that good in the Boston seriers last year the Cavs were in every game. We all know that Lebron has improved his game from last year. I will get excited if the Cavs beat Boston on the 9th but I don't think it will effect them if they lose as long as it's a good game.

It's huge. That evens the series at 1-1. Even if the end tied 2-2, home court goes to what? Best conference record? In the eastern conference finals last year, should Cleveland have had home court...they may have been NBA champs!

I understand it's a big game for the Cavs vs Boston next Fri. Everybody wants to beat the defending NBA champs. After that game there will be almost 50 more games left to play and still two more games with Boston. Anything can happen it's long season.

This is a big game for the Cav's. I believe this one determines whether you guys still have a chance of home court. If you lose this one you basically have no chance at home court advantage if I'm correct, I could be wrong.

I think they could still get it. The first tie breaker is head to head. They'd have to win the other 2 games against the Celtics this year and then, I think the tie breaker is best record in the conference...so they'd have to have that wrapped up too.

I agree it's a very big game. I really don''t see how people try to sell the game short as just another game when in reality it's not. This game will decide a lot later down the road and give the Celts a big advantage in the series, not to mention 2 losses does a lot to a teams moral when you meet them later. Another loss can really deflate a teams confidence.
