Lakers Cavs and Celtics are all off to great starts, so is there a chance we will see any of them get 70+ wins??

Technically they all should get there if you look at the current records. I say maybe one gets there. I don't really see any of them playing better...if anything they'll take it easy towards the end and maybe end up 68-14. I think Cleveland and Boston will battle right to the last game actually. I think whoever has homecourt in the Eastern finals will be huge. So far Celtics up 1-0.

I doubt it teams usually start off like this. This talk always happens at the beginning of the year. It is going to be interesting though. :tu:

It's definitely possible, but for the Cavs at least, injuries will take their toll as they usually do. Boobie went down, and there has already been a noticeable drop in team performance. Z just went down on a sprained ankle in their last game, and we are definitely going to miss him. Maybe LeBron will actually have to play in the 4th quarter now. I don't know if they can carry this win streak into next year.
The Cavs have been blowing opponents out of the water, and you can argue that the competition isn't that great, but it hasn't been for years and the Cavs have not played this well. So things are looking good. It's awesome to see the team not satisfied with a 8-10 point win. Some teams would consider that a blowout, but not if you've been beating teams by an average of 21 pts.

I'm kind of surprised Boston is playing so well after winning a Championship. The Cavs are playing great as well especially there defense. It's a long season and as flip said all the teams have to stay somewhat healthy. I never watched NBA basketball this early in the season.

nah, the nba is pretty tough overall this year. besides that 70 wins doesnt really mean much, its all about the championship.

Celtics have best shot, they're in the East which isn't as tough as being in the West which is why I don't think the Lakers could and someone always finds a way to get hurt with Cleveland.
The Lakers lost again...I think they're done for a shot at 70. And I don't think that Cavs can pull it off. If the Celts have no injuries, I think they're the only ones with a shot.

I don't see why the Celtics can't win 70? They won 66 last year, they're tearing up the league right now with a 17 game winning streak and are even better than last year. The only thing I see stopping them are injuries like 88jr said.

I hope so too because the Lakers are my team and I really don't like Boston, but dang are they a good team. The best shot they have is if Kobe doesn't shoot the ball 32873448988921164789 times, now that would be a Christmas Day miracle.

Oh I agree that they can do it but it's a long season and lots of things can happen. They certainly are good enough. Hey I still take credit for their title last year. After rooting against them for so long I finallygo to see them and boom #17. Your welcome Boston fans.

^I dunno, if the Lakers can play like the did today against the Hornets the Lakers stand a real good chance.
By the way, the only team I think can hit the 70 mark is Celts, possibly the Cav's. I throw the Cav's in there because the East is still the weaker conferences of the two so the Cav's have several chances to rack up easy wins. The Lakers on the other hand have a host of teams that give the whole NBA as a whole some problems; Spurs, Houston, Denver, Portland, Suns and even the Clippers if the Clippers can continue how they've been playing the past couple games.

Nope, too many good teams right now for any to be dominant.

Cavs 66 wins :)
Lakers 65
Boston 61
I bet if those teams didn't have injuries throughout the year they would have won 70 games.

I doubt it. They both lost games they could and should have won. That's the nature of the beast.

I don't understand your reply? You said months ago the Cavs had no chance winning 70 games. The Cavs came up 4 short which they rested players there last game. That's fine if u don't agree but I think if the Cavs stayed healthy they would have won 4 more games. I know it don't matter just sayin.
Agreed. The last game they gave away, that's 67. They should have beat Washington a couple of weeks ago, that's 68, easy. That just leaves them a couple short...I'm impressed. They should have beat LA at home too, that makes 69...oh well, nothing matters now but bringing home the trophy.

That has to be the worst argument I've ever read. You can't argue,"they should have...," because they didn't! So no, they weren't a couple short and they were not one win away. The same argument could be made for the Lakers or Boston but luckily it hasn't and should not. A teams greatness is measured by how well they deal with adversity not "if" situations.
To say that the Cavs should have beaten the Lakers is crazy. As stated the same could been the same for other clubs. And I said at the beginning that the other clubs all lost games that they should have won. This (I said it earlier) is the nature of the beast.
