I would assume it is some sort of dealer or Sprint employee plan. Good luck  :fingers:

There is no way your buddy got that deal for $25 a month. Now, maybe he paid a Sprint rep $150 so he could be added to the reps SWAC plan.

Are you saying he bribed a Sprint Rep for this or did he come by this via TOL?

Oh ye of little faith. Ye know not of what ye speak. In fact, this plan is NOT an employee only plan. This plan dates back to '82 and very few, if any, lower level Sprint Reps can access the code without some time consuming scouring through the archives. And even if they can access it, having the authority to apply it is a whole other issue.
In fact, I have 4 of these lines with some added on goodies and they were legitimately applied on the 19th of Sept., '08. Matter of fact, there are 2 3000 minute f &c's. Up 'til the 19th I had the 3000 for $45, but it includes "vision" data. Had it switched to 3000 $25 which made data add-ons like PAM much easier.
Mind you, I got these as a compensatory gesture from Sprint for a grave wrong they committed against my bus. general and corp accts. Asking for these, just to be asking for them, will probably get you laughed at by most Sprint Reps. HOWEVER, they do exist.:deal:

So how does one go about requesting for such plans?

Aren't you the same person who posted this?

Most Free and Clear pricing has been removed from the system. If your "friend" paid someone to bribe or talk a Sprint employee into violating the rules, then that's on him. Just remember, most of the price plans have been removed from the system for a reason, just like that $130 plan was.
Would your "friend" happen to be from New York?:Popcorn2:

I work for sprint also and the only peolpe that have those free and clear plans are existing customers who got them when they were in affect. The only people that can get them now are sprint employee's and indirect dealers of sprint. They get the free and clear 3000 for $20 a month. I know because I have the plan. But I highly doubt you would ever get a rep to give you that plan, because the other person is right the only people that have the authority and the soc codes for that plan are high up on the food chain and they are not anyone you would get to talk to on the phone.

I believe the intent of your message, however I do not believe that the plan dates to " '82"....
There was no such thing as "vision" in 1982. NOTHING was likely to be sold in "Megabytes," let alone "unlimited MBs." I highly doubt that ANY plan included 3000 minutes on a wireless service at that time. ( definitely not for $25.00)

I've seen how it works and I've seen people terminated for it, literally.

the fact he paid a sprint rep 150.00 for this plan is all you need to know!! when ever you make a lump sum payment like that, there is usually some shady dealings going on, but on the bad side for your friend, as soon as that account gets audited he will lose that plan, and the dealer may lose the ability to sell sprint merchandise, and I will bet my rays season tickets for next season this "friend" is indeed in the state of new york,I could probably even nail down the borough!

You may indeed be right that it's newer than '82. Just reiterating what was told to me by the Rep who initiated the plans on my acct.

NOT happening. The hookup these days is a Sprint Everything Referral Offer, or whatever we're calling it now.
BTW, the price plan mentioned was yanked. System glitch, don't bother calling. If you want a 3000 minute plan, I can do ya one better. Get a Simply Everything plan for $99 and be done with it. Now Sprint just hooked you up.:deal:

anyone here with the free and clear 3000 plan for $25 have a Palm pre or blackberry Tour. If so, how long have you had the phone on your plan. Also did you do the esn swap yourself or call in? Thanks!

That plan was a dealer plan.
There were ways to obtain it however, and sometimes a CARE rep could inadvertently be tricked into putting people on it.
Being that it's a F&C plan MOST of the newer phones won't work on it.
My understanding is that the ESNs are tied to the plans so the system will "know" if you are attempting to activate it.

Yeah, I was gonna say I recognized that plan. It was the "Employee" plan I received when I used to work at Radioshack.
And boxoroxs is correct. Majority of the newer phones (Palm Pre, BB's, Instinct, and Hero) require the newer plans. When activating the new phone with the ESN provided, the system knows what plans will work with what phones.
So it's not as simple as the Customer Care agent won't do it for you, it's that the system physically won't let you continue with the activation unless the Plan is changed to the correct one.
Also adding a Data Feature to an existing grand-fathered plan is not a work around as the system looks at the specific plan, not the additional codes for Data when activating.

BB's work on F&C plans. Been using one for the past 6 months.

if this is the case, then sprint fixed the loophole, as I know for a fact that sprint would have let me upgrade to an instinct (months ago, b4 the pre was on sprint.com) with a regular F&C $10 AAP and the $30 data pack (forget what its called).
doesn't matter to me much anymore as I'm now paying $101 after tax and everything for 3 lines of ED3000 which is basically an unlimited plan for us.

Do you think its possible that employees at Sprint and Radio Shack are not getting any new phones because they are on these older plans? That can't be. There is probably some add-on they use to allow it while maintaining their inexpensive plans.

You can activate the original Instinct on the 3000 employee plan. It was not allowed to be activated at first and then they changed it. I had one activated on My line briefly.

I have a free & clear plan with the Free BIS addon and I have a curve 8330. no reason any other BB wouldn't work on it.
