Discounts rescinded at contract's end?

I read on another forum that says that Sprint has a new policy and after the 2 year contract is over, all discounts go away? Have any of you experienced this?

That is quite often the case. Most discounts and perks (other than employee discount, i.e. IBM) are supposed to be good for the life of the 2 year contract. Some are built in for life but that is not usually the case.

If the add-ons/freebies are worth it to you, then yes.

It's smart for them as long as they're competitive. I have waited months to re-up until they give some kind of improvement.

typically i would wait unitl agreement expired but i think that with all the discounts being taken away or stopped being offerred

maybe when my current agreement expires in march 2009- i will renew by late jan 2009 and get what i can- i have been with Sprint for 9+ years as of now.

Does this include add-ons? We just renewed both my husband’s line and mine, plus I upgraded my phone. I asked if it would affect our plan and both of the reps I talked to said no nothing will change. We are considered Sprint Premier Customers if that makes any difference. I’m guessing anyone that pays their bill on time and has been there 2+ years is a Sprint Premier Customer though.
