I am interested in hearing how people verify the offers that sprint reps give them. Many people have had the experience where they get a plan that is amazing but the bill is completely different. Especially when it is a couple months down the road and you are stuck in contract.

I do get an email when a feature is added, (lost phone-tried locate) but I noticed that the price was not in the email.

I am out of contract soon. Last time it took me more than a year to sign back up and that was a nightmare. I got an extra line for free and was "allowed" to keep my very old plan 300 min for $30 and $10 vision which was changed to Power Vision. I had to threaten several times to send it all back, and this is so annoying.

I've never had that problem personally, but I could see how that could be annoying.. I would call them when your contract is close to expiration. Make sure you get the rep's name (and sprint id#?), date, and time that you called. Have them note your account.. then call back and ask another rep if they did indeed add it to your account. if they did not, you are in a better position than you were previously.. You can then threaten to cancel, and have retention even add more stuff than what the other rep offered you. Good luck! :fingers::fingers:

I have never contracted anything over the phone with Sprint. I have always signed a contract at the store. (Radio Shack the first time, then Sprint store after that). I have seen many posts on this site where people are told something on the phone and they don't get what they were promised. If you live close to a store I would go there and get a written contract.

what kind of deal can you get in-store on services? I find the guys in store straight forward and honest, but not flexible on price.

I dont think you can get any good deals in store. I dont think they have accesses to add any perks, just what is on the website for the price that is on there. I had gone a few months ago to ask them to add back a 10 dollar credit that was no longer showing and they told me they couldnt add it back for me to give #2 a call and ask them to do it.

You might get a better deal by calling retentions but it seems from recent posts they are not giving things away as much as they have in the past. Also, there is concern about being told one thing over the phone and getting something different than what was agreed upon. I feel a written contract will provide greater leverage to correct the problem if you are not getting what was agreed upon.

The best thing I do, when they offer you something and you accept it, tell them please notate my account with that offer. Once all said and done, i usually call back in 10 minutes and double check that if that really is what i got

Everytime there's any changes to my account (ie: change plan, add-on options, etc) I receive an email notifying me that there was a change to the account and when the change took place. It's quite nice, actually... I save these emails along with the print-screen of my options to argue with when things go wrong. You have to make sure that your sprint account has your email listed. Otherwise, they always say "either a text message confirming these changes or an email."

When it comes to offers, it's a crapshoot. Each rep that offers this or that may put in the notes - the ones that did put in the notes DID work out when the subsequent rep finds the note. But I can't tell you how many times a promise of a certain plan or option that was offered to me somehow gets forgotten or I must be mistaken because there are no such notes or whatever didn't ever exist.

This is what I do also bc once it's notated I have no problems getting what was promised. In a case of them giving something and taking it away couple months later, I just tell them to go back to that time and it gets resolved.

Seems like it's true. I was told that I will have the 1000 minute plan in the next billing cycle. I wanted to call to see when my plan ends and also to check on the plan. They told me the plan change was never made. So I had to go to Retention again to change it. This time I got her name and Employee ID Number for reference.

You guys loosing your old add-ons from retention is part of a special cleanup operation. You get them back when you ask about it, but its in hopes that the people who don't notice they are missing their perk wont want them back.

I recently noticed that my loyal discount of 15% was missing. I also get a corp discount of 25% thru my work. When I called I got the run around and then called back after talking to rentions and getting someone that knew what they were doing I got them to give me a one time credit of 15% would of saved me over a years time. Ended up with liek 450.00 credit.

Was nice to have a one time cr but would of rather had the 15% discount.

I use emails (e-care) for anything I proof of then save to a folder in my email acct.when I get a favorable response that I want to take advan.of,then call *2 (after a wk. or so) to ck.to see if they did what was agreed. This way(e-care) you recieve their id,case/issue#,all pertan.info..Ask for confirmation email, fax or letter when you need it..Sprint reminds me of gov.,lg.corp's,they simply do'nt communicate with each other or mayby it's easier to not do it,not expected of them(no repercutions when they don't do it right),training problems/lack of etc...

I get everything on my account documented through ecare so I can point back to it if needed. If it gets removed I have their own reps documentation to get it back.

I suggest anyone with anything worth saving email ecare and ask for a plan/add-on detail. They usually add "you can keep this email as a confirmation" to the end of it which is even better.
