View Full Version : Adding more SMS to Free & Clear?
Hey gang-
I have a longstanding Sprint Free & Clear plan ($100, 2500 shared minutes) that is great in all respects except its miserly Text Message limit- 100 messages per month. My wife and I currently share those minutes and messages.
I want to call them today to see if my SMS limit can be raised, and wondered what deals are currently out there for adding SMS to Free and Clear. Sprint definitely seems to want people off Free and Clear as they recently refused an Add A Phone unless I switched to a new plan.
FWIW, I'm an A2 long-standing customer currently under no contract, so might this be something I could leverage?
Thanks!

No, just looking to increase the monthly text message limit and wondering if anyone is getting more than the base 100 messages with a Free and Clear plan. Or if anyone has found good recent deals (like free ;) ) for adding more SMS to Free and Clear.

They may play hard to give you unlimited messaging.. but its worth asking for.. unlimited txt messaging for free.. but am sure they should give you 1000 messages for free.. if not free for a 1$.. I have F&C plan and I got 1000 msgs for free a few months ago.. another friend was offered 1000 msgs for 1$ but he accepted 500 msgs for free. So these are the options!

First off, that is one of the best plans Sprint ever offered. I used to be on that plan, but realized eventually it was overkill because we were only using about 1000 anytime AT MOST of the 2500.
So, back in the spring of this year around February or March, in the tail-end of a conversation about 5PM to ecare, I asked them about my then offsetting $8 credit for 500 messages (I asked if the credit was soon to expire). I got lucky and the rep just gave us unlimited texts included for free.
I have always ever been on F&C plans, but know my glory will come to an end when I need to make any other changes... :bang: :td:

R these free and clear plans still available? i had it about 6 years ago. sounds good for the kids, now they have fair & flexible, really not working for them.

I really doubt it. It makes the most sense that Sprint try to move everyone off of these F&C retention plans. If you want to make changes to your account, you'll likely have to change plans. The only reason I see them honoring & going back to a F&C plan is if you had it in the past.
