Palm Treo 800w ringtones!!

Hello, Im new... I've done some research first but I am having a difficult time finding out what kind of file my ringtones should be. I have tried qcp, m4a and mp3 files and they all wont work. Please help!!

Where are you storing the files on your device?

They need to be stored in My Documents or My Documents/Ringtones in order to show up in the list of files available to use as a ringtone.

I have been putting them in those folders. I have actually tried most of the folders. This is why I am so confused.

I have all my mp3 ringers in the mydocuments/my ringtones folder. they all work great.

ok then maybe i am just using it wrong. After putting them in those files, I tried to look for it on the ringers list and tried adding them to the list under "manage". what am i doing wrong?

this is how i have gotten ringtones onto the 800w...
go to the site on my sig...
make your tone (mp3)...
get the text...
select any carrier other than sprint on the download link (windows and bb sprint devices dont work the same as other sprint handsets)....
and save it to your ringtones folder
you get the option of renaming it

im sorry i havent done it the wired way so i wont be any help to you there
