I tried to get the loyalty discount from ecare and the rep told me that they stopped giving the discount out. Which sucks. Maybe I need to try again?

Yea they told me the same thing. They tried to offer a 70 credit per line but I passed on that.

I got another offer of a discount today in the mail. I didn't do anything for it other than have been a customer for several years. (1999) I am sure it was just a mass mailing. You will probably get an offer in due time.

Hi there,
Does anyone know what's the max Loyalty Discount Sprint can offer?....if they are willing to do so. I have been a customer with Sprint since 6/2006. Also, is it true that in order to get such LD, you have to sign a new 2 year contract?

regds.

Nothing really, just ask nicely. I was with them for over 5 years when I decided to ask for it, and I was given it with know problem.

Its probably easier to check to see if you're eligible for a corporate discount. Sprint offers various discounts for employees of many companies. You can check eligibility through Sprint's website. There's a spot where you enter your work e-mail address and the site will immediately tell you if a discount is offered.

the longer your with sprint the bigger the hook up like if your sprint for 10 years you would get a bigger hook up on your bill and what not

The offer I got was 10% off my line if I agree to a 2 year contract. It was only good for my line but we have 3 lines. It was only good if I called them. I have not taken them up on the offer.

... interesting. I wonder if they are sending these discounts out if you already have a business discount (since supposedly discounts are not stackable).

They sent one to me and I already have a business discount. When I called and asked about the discount the CSR said that they weren't able to stack discounts any longer, but offered me a $70 credit which I took. She said it was a mistake because my account wasn't flagged as already having a business discount.

Thanks for this! I've been talking to retention/executive services about other types of discounts since I was mistakenly offered a recurring credit (and was TOLD by the CSR that she could stack it w/ my business discount). Ever since then, I have been shot down on every call I've made to Sprint. Nobody ever offered me the $70 either even though I am SURE I am eligible. Very strange. Executive Services gave me a really hard time about it too!

I also got the 10% off mailing and I have also have a corporate discount. I think it was more an issue of a mass mailing and that Sprint did not even try to determine which customers have corporate discounts.

The fine print does say

May not be combinable with other offers. Restrictions apply"

As a frequent reader of SU, I knew what this meant and that I did not qualify for the discount because of my business discount.

I am sure a simple data base query could have been used to eliminate business discount customers so Sprint did not have to send the offer to those that would not benefit from the offer. Seems like a waste of Sprint's money to mail this me.

When I added another line of service around July this year, I told to retention department during 30 day trial period, and they added 15% loyalty discount to my SERO plan.
Then one month later I didn't see it, so I called to Sprint and find out it is not working with SERO account any more.
If you have non-SERO account, you can try to call them and ask for it.
But the chances are YMMV - your mileages may varies -.

Besides if you have non-SERO account, you may try to ask them whether they have corporate discount under your company/university.
Also, if you are member of Credit Union, you can ask 10% discount for being a member of Credit Union.
