No caller ID for me when I call others

My dear father (I lied about the title, it's not me, its him) has been battling to get this resolved for over a year now. When he calls other people (land lines,etc) it doesn't come up with his name or anything resembling his company. I believe it says "Uknown caller." I forget what triggered the change, but that doesn't look very good for him to run a business and have clients see that and not his name when he calls them. He's a business customer and has been with Sprint since they were in the cell-phone business and talks weekly with people trying to resolve it. I thought I'd post here to see if anyone had any insight. They just gave him a $50 credit for his troubles, but this really needs to be fixed.

It's easy to fix it, should be able to just with a call to care. All they need to do is update one field on the account. If they can't seem to figure it out, tell them to update the cnam and it should fix it within 72 hours.

I changed my caller id with just a quick online chat, it's really really easy to change.

BUT if you call weekly, and they don't know what's wrong...

i know that sprint can only update the database, and it's up to the local phone company to retrieve the info... try calling a number in a different area and ask people if the caller id shows up

The cnam field is the one field we update to change the caller-id on outgoing calls.

Though - i'm sure at this point it has been updated - ask to talk to either cdma or iDEN tech to have a ticket created into the caller-id queue to have the proper networking team fix it if the cnam update isn't resulting in a change.
