We are trying to figure out how to delete the recipient numbers that are logged in the "To" drop down box after composing a text message on the Centro.... there has to be a way to remove the numbers!

Use filez to delete the following file from the device:

AddressingLibRecent-HsCh

Also make sure that file doesn't get hotsync'ed back by deleting it from your Hotsync backup. Alternately you can delete you whole hotsync backup from the Hotsync app and immediately sync to reflect your latest data on the phone.

Yall must have a different Centro, I dont see a drop down or any numbers. Pardon me if I appear stupid but I text alot mostly on upoc.com via sms. So I get 100 plus texts a day to my phone.

Home->Messaging->New

To the right of the "To:" there will be an inverted triangle (if you have sent text messages in the past). If you highlight and select the triangle it will give you a popup with recent #s that you sent messages to.

That's odd, I only get names...no numbers.

If they are in your address book you'll see names, but when you select one from the popup list and then highlight the name, it'll show you the #.

Ok I have learned from someone at BAW.com (buzzaboutwireless) that once you have 10 recipients in the drop down any new numbers or contacts will be deleted, so it only holds 10 numbers or contacts and then starts to delete the oldest after entering a new #... that kinda sucks but it will work I tried it.. havent tried the Hotsync thing yet but that sounds more complicated yet Im sure its more efficient....

I D/L'd the Filez to my phn and I did not see the file AddressingLibRecent-HsCh
That you said to delete.. is there another file name it could be under?

Ahh...I could have answered this one for you! :) Its only the last 10 numbers...

Anyways, I have a question for you all about my Centro. When I get onto the web, I cant see any of my images (and icons) for some reason. Anyone else have this problem?

Install FileZ using the app loader
HotSync to put FileZ on your Centro
Start FileZ
Click on "View and Edit Files"
Expand "Internal" by clicking on the sideways triangle
Use the scroll bar on the right to scroll to AddressingLibRecent-...
Click on AddressingLibRecent-...
You'll see a checkmark appear to the left of the file
Press the "menu" button on the keyboard (to the right of the Alt button)
Press "D" on the keyboard to delete the file
Restart the Centro by pulling the battery
