I have never seen a photo from a 2.0mp mobile phone camera. Is there a noticeable difference in quality from a 1.3mp ? I have a 1.3 now I'd like to use my phones camera to take pictures. But the results i get now from the 1.3 camera's are not so good. I am just wondering what anyone who has used both thought. :thought:

the quality is more in the lens itself the primary difference between 1.3 and 2.0 mp is overall image size the image will be larger, but i have seen some 1.3mp camera phones that blow 2.0mp camera phones away in image quality because of a better quality lens.
but also if the 2.0 is a good quality lens it means you will get some more detail due to the overall larger image. but for the most part the primary difference when it comes to a camera phone is just a larger image because camaera phones dont tend to have very high quality lenses

my htc touch 2.0 mp camera is a big big improvement over my old razr v3m 1.3 mp
I'll try to upload comparison pictures later, but I would say, yes, usually the 2.0 is better.
I noticed that as long as i wipe the lens and hold the phone REAL REAL still I can get some nice looking pictures

keep in mind the razr had a shotty camera.
i can provide some comparison shots tonight as well. between my 1.3mp mm9000, 2.0mp treo 800w and my 7.2mp digital camera. the digital camera will of course win by far, but there is little difference between the 1.3 and the 2.0

The Palm Centro 1.3mp Cam blows away the Sanyo scp 8400 with same cam spec.I guess the bigger screen helps for the centro.

why in the world can't they put such a good lens in another cell phone?? All I hear is that the M1 takes phenomenal pics, and there's the proof. I wonder how good the pics are from the new touch diamond?
