Live Search question

After using Live Search for a couple of months it has built up a history of more than 25 businesses I have searched and the list keeps growing. Is there a way to delete the history?

I have also asked this same question in another thread. Someone mentioned something about it being in the registry or something, but besides that no help.

I'm subscribing to this thread hoping someone would give me an answer. It's very frustrating to scroll through the tens of destinations you no longer use to get the one you want.

I wish Windows Live doesn't store locations automatically, but gives you an option of saving it manually.

It was suggested, as a way to delete the history, erase the application and then reinstall it. I looked all all the applications listed it the Digital Lounge and Live Search is not there. If I erase the current Live Search that is in my phone how do I reinstall it?

I already uninstalled the application, clear out the cache on my sd card, reinstalled it, but the locations are still there.

If you browse to *\Program Files\Live Search\WLSData and delete everything in there (mainly Locations_en-US.csl), it should clear the saved destinations. At least I think that's what did it for me, as it's now cleared.

I'm going to remember to do this once in a while.

When I go to m.live.com I get version of live search that probably works best with a smart phone like the Touch or the Q9C. The Live Search that comes installed on the M520 is totally different than the m.live.com download. Also since the M520 is totally different than the Q9C I am leary of attempting to browse to *\Program Files....... to try and delete everything. I did notice when I go to My Content/Applications/Live Search/Options one of the options is Erase. If I were to erase Live Search from the list of applications you would think I would be able to go to Applications/Get New Applications and download Live Search again but I can't find it listed in any of the application categories.

Why would you go to download applications when you can go to m.live.com and download it there?

Just erase it and reinstall it if you need to.

m.live.com does not have the same content as the live search application that comes installed on the M520. The Live Search application is listed with my other installed applications and there is an option to erase it. I would not be able to reinstall it if it was erased because when I go to "Get New Applications" Live Search is not listed under any category.

I chatted on line with Sprint today and was told that Live Search comes installed on the M520 from the factory and if you erase the Live Search application from the phone the only way to get it back is to do a hard reset and that would restore the phone to the original factory settings with Live Search and all the businesses in the history would not be there. I ask him if I erase the Live Search application (meaning all of the Live Search content would be gone from the phone) how is it possible to get back the Live Search content back to the phone by doing a hard reset? If this is possible what else happens when you do a hard reset? I have taken their advise in the past and the result is usually not a positive one.

Well, for starters, you will erase all personal data on your phone, like contacts, browser history, photos, music, ringers, etc. In addtion, all other apps you have installed will have to be reloaded.

I figured I would lose everything I added but I just don't know how you can erase all the content of an application and the do a hard reset and the content you erased comes back.

I agree the live search APP seams to have much more content.
A awesome feature filled website.

This is what I have done....maybe right or wrong...maybe it is the solution or not...but experts pls throw some light here.

open FILE EXPLORER
go to MY DEVICE folder
go to LIVE SEARCH folder
u will see tons of temp files like M103T M104T..etc
select all and DELETE

Pardon my ignorance if I am way off.
