Guitar Hero III Mobile

So, I got this game from that other site that isn't mentionable...anywho, the game works great, BUT, I can't get the monthly songs that they release. I should be able to just click on the option that says Update Song List, but, it always comes back and tells me that there is no new content available. However, there are probably around 20 songs that I should be finding. Anyone know why I can't get these songs?

you have to beat each song then the list of new songs update.

No, that's not what I'm talking about. I've unlocked all the basic songs that came with the game. What I'm talking about are the bonus songs that they release at the beginning of each month. If you read the Wiki article about Guitar Hero Mobile, it gives you a list of the new songs that are released. To get those new songs, you have to click on the Update Songs option at the main screen of the game. When I click that, it always says that there are "no new songs available."

i dont pay for it and i get all the bonus songs...as do a few of my friends :)

Yeah...I don't get any of the udated tracks. Whenever it tries to update, it tells me that there is nothing new. I wouldn't mind buying the game, but, I don't want to pay for it, only to have the same problem with not being able to get the updated songs.

I bought it from WINPLAY. I purchased the "One Time Purchase" version ($14.99). Nowhere on the site does it say that this version is barred from the monthly downloads. In fact, it flat out says that you get the bonus songs in so many words. Come to find out via other sites that offer the game, you have to buy the "Subscription" version and pay the monthly fee ($4.49).

Personally I feel that they should either refund my money, or update me with all the current bonus songs, plus three future months for free for having such crappy misleading info on their site and allowing people to pay 15 thinking that you get the bonus songs.

Either way, hope my info/rant helps clear up your question...

Winplay emailed me back stating that I do in fact have access to the updates, but I have to wait until the first of the month. I emailed them back about the prior 21 songs that are available, and why I'm not able to get those.

I got a, uh, special version of the game, and don't see the update packs, but it's okay, I have the real game on PS2. The first one, second one, and third one, actually.

I got the 3 for August. Still no response about the older ones. I came across some methods to get them that involved modifying some of the Dat files, but it didn't work. Not sure if it's the format, or if the files are removed from the server. I'm guessing the only way to get them is to find a kind soul that has them and is willing to share the Bar files.

All of which are impossible on the hardest setting on the Audiovox ppc 6700. Might be possible on a phone with an actual numbered keypad, but the joystick just wont allow you to move it that fast or obviously hit two notes at once lol.

i got the game from that unmentionable site, BUT i do get the august bonus songs. not sure why i can and you guys have problems. What i do have problems with is trying to register. it takes me to the create a nickname and after it tries to connect and fails. Yet i can update my songs.. anyone have this problem and any solutions???
