Kyocera announced that it will be licensing Zi Corporation's eZiText and eZiType predictive text software for Sanyo-branded handsets. It will license the software in English, Spanish and several other languages. The eZiType software, in particular, will be used in phones with full QWERTY keyboards. The terms of the licensing agreement were not disclosed.

just some more details from the July 2 Zi Corporation News Release (http://www.zicorp.com/NewsReleases.htm):

Kyocera states that it will be integrating Zi Corporation’s text entry solutions into upcoming Sanyo-branded foreign model phones with QWERTY keypads...

"North America is an important market for Kyocera’s Sanyo-branded handsets and we must have a robust text-entry solution"

definitely wouldn't mind some full QWERTY Sanyo goodness. bring it on already Kyocera!

That's what I was wondering. I have had nothing but Sanyo but it looks like on 10/19 I may give up my DLX for this new LG purple Lotus.
