Katana LX & Sprint Mobile Email

I have a Sanyo Katana LX (SCP-3800). I am trying to use the Sprint Mobile Email program. The program came pre-installed on the phone, and the Sprint website says the program works on this phone.

When I try to start the program, I constantly get a message "This product version is not supported on this device."

I have called tech support with no luck. I had Sprint Mobile Email working just fine on my original Katana (6600).

I really would like to get this working, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i have experience several problems with this phone. nothing seems to be compatible with it. I have had problems with picture since the 2nd that I purchased it. I am on my second phone now. if you get a fix let me know

I saw no point in choosing the LX over its still available predessor, the Katana II. The LX seems like a DOWNGRADE at the same price. Notably, the LX display is lower res than the II's QVGA LCD. Is there anything good about the LX that makes it a better choice than the II ?
