I'm just wondering how to make your own ringtone for a Sanyo M1 without internet access on your phone.

You can make it, but you won't be able to get it on your phone.

Yes first you need to make your ringtone you need to convert a music file to WAV format... Then you need to crop and cut out the section you want to use as a ringtone... Using a file converter convert the WAV file to a QCP file.... Then use a service like Rumkin.com to send the file to your phone via a text message.. I used to do it all the time.. Goto this site it will help you out ...

Check the link out, the answer is in there. Basic idea is you have to create a .3g2 video. You also create a 1 or 2 second video on your phone. Then you hook your phone upto the computer, get the exact name of the video you made on your phone, rename the .3g2 you created on your computer, and then replace the one on your phone with the one you created. It's a pretty simple thing to do. I used to do it before i had internet on my phone.

thats pretty much pointless though. you can only set the 3g2 ringtones as calls. no voicemail, text, etc.
